At Harry's place later that night, I laid down on the bed, stretching for a moment. Harry smiled as he laid next to me in a very shredded tank top. His hook was on the nightstand. He cupped my cheek and pulled me in for a kiss. I kissed him lovingly. He was the only person I could feel true love for. I was grinning when he pulled away.
"Hi," I breathed.
Harry hummed, his eyes scanning over my face. "Surprised, darling?"
"A little," I admitted. Only because Harry had never been so forward.
He took a deep breath and pulled me closer to him. It was like he relaxed with me just being next to him. His arm was underneath my neck. My right arm laid across his chest and I comfortably put my hand right near his ribs. My right leg lifted up so it was over his right leg. Harry looked at me for a moment and moved so we were face to face.
"I can't wait for tomorrow," I admitted. "We finally get the wand. We could actually lead normal lives. Not ones filled with garbage and being outcasted."
"We can finally stop listening to Mother Gothel complaining about being old," Harry commented.
I laughed, then suppressed a yawn. Harry noticed and smiled, kissing my forehead. "Sleep, you ball of fire."
"I will have you know this ball of fire can set you on literal fire," I threatened.
"Then I will die a happy man with my infatuation for my killer," Harry replied.
"Infatuation?" I questioned. "That seems a little far-fetched."
"Would you rather me say I'm stupidly in love with you?"
"We're not supposed to love, remember?"
Harry scoffed. "Like you believe that still."
"You're right. I don't." I kissed him softly. "But it's not like you're actually in love with me."
"Would you hate me if I did?"
"Probably not."
"Then I'm in love with you, (Y/n)."
"Took you long enough." I rolled over, trying to hide my blush.
"You tease." Harry hovered over me in a flash, forcing me to look at him. "I confess my feelings, and all I get is a stupid remark?"
I smiled. "Could have been worse. I could have said 'me too'."
Harry's hands were at my ribs, and he tickled me. Of all the things he could have done, he tickled me like we were five years old. His smile grew as I squirmed, trying to get out of his hold. I laughed, trying to push him off of me. But he was too strong, and he kept distracting me with kisses on my cheek.
"Say it back, my flame. That's all you have to do."
"Fine!" I shouted, trying to hold back more fits of laughter. "I'm in love with you too, Hook. You sadist, I love you. Harry, stop!" I was trying to kick my feet to push him off, but he had them trapped under his legs.
Harry returned us back to the position we were in before he started the tickle fight. His words and the happiness from just him messing around with him set into my skin, and it almost felt euphoric. It felt better than the time he and I managed to steal thousands of dollars worth of the Si and Am's jewelry. They had stolen it in the first place.
We fell asleep together, but I woke up only a couple of hours later. It was hard for me to sleep when I knew Gil wasn't watching Ben very well. Or thinking about my father's words, repeating that villains couldn't feel emotions. Maybe he said it to protect me. But the whole reason I was happy was because I felt emotions for a man.
Said man had his arms wrapped around me tightly. I calmed my breathing down enough to focus on wiggling out of his grip. I sat up on the other side of the bed, trying to breathe. I ran my hand through my hair, fluffing the vibrant blue. I then noticed something on my nightstand. Something I didn't have time to look at hours ago.
The ring had a simple silver band, nothing too big. But there was a gem in the middle. A gold hook wrapped around it, and there was a star hidden on the side. I slipped it on my hand. It fit my ring finger perfectly. It was probably another one of Harry's rings that he didn't like to wear too much. Even though I have told him repeatedly I loved them.
"Was going to give that to you earlier."
I slammed the ring down on the nightstand immediately. When did he wake up? His eyes were half-lidded, and he sounded half-asleep. But the way he fixed his sleeping position told me he was waking up. "CJ helped me find it a long time ago. Get it? Because I got you hooked."
I snorted. "Of all things, you've got me hooked?" I mumbled, "Codfish."
"If you're not that serious about it." Harry reached over and tried to grab it, but I slipped it onto my finger immediately.
"Mine," I almost growled. It felt inappropriate to love a ring so much, but I did.
Harry grinned. "Good. Because that's what you're getting until I can get an actual ring. Told your dad, too."
I looked at him in shock. "You actually told my dad you were going to marry me? And you didn't get thrown into Olympus and dragged to the underworld? You must really love me."
"I do, but that's besides the point. I did get threatened with that, though," Harry admitted.
The moon shone through the window. The light hit the ring, making it sparkle as I moved it. The most beautiful thing of all was Harry. His dark hair was messed up and ruffled, but it shined in the moonlight like it was meant to be that way. He looked carved to be perfect. He laid his head on my lap, allowing me to play with his hair for a few minutes.
"C'mon, my blue fire," Harry mumbled, holding out his arms.
I wiggled back into the position I was in when I woke up and slept through the night.
