Clash after clash, Kida always threw my sword out of my hands.

Sure, I had six months of training before this for the raid of Litsurburge but nothing compares to this. "Let's go.". "Pick up your sword.". Kida would always critique me, yell at me. I just about had it when she threw one of her knives at Achak, throwing it from my grasp for the hundredth time. "Again." She would tell me, expecting me to pick up my weapon for the hundredth time. And I did too, I had to. The Senne and Malek were watching, and we got the occasional glance from people around us. Every single day for six months.

The one time I lost my cool through, the one time, was when she kept bashing Achak with her Calcite sword. She picked it up not long after we started our one on one training together. Clash: My sword would be forced down to my side, rendering me defenseless. Class: defenseless. Achak was just too heavy by this point and I simply couldn't continue after all these grueling hours. "Come on!" She yelled, goading me. Something inside me snapped. My head went numb. Then my hands and it's like something in me took over and I couldn't stop myself even if I wanted to. I had put all my force into Bashing my sword back with the last slap. I didn't care at the moment for how close I was to nicking her. She was too fast for me though, she saw my every move, which only made me all the more furious.

As I swung my sword at her, I'm grunting, letting all my rage go into that swing, she brings her calcite sword up, slapping mine away with one clash. I've mentally prepared myself up to now instead of just dropping my sword, instead, I finally decide to obey her. Going with gravity of the sword, I let Achak drag me down with it.

Letting go of my sword, I jump back onto my feet as quickly as I can.Kida had to jump backwards into the air as she let two of her throwing knives fly at me. I'm not sure how I did it, but I swiped the right knife in the air while simultaneously dodging the left one. I threw it back at her, letting it just graze her upper thigh.

Silence is the only thing that went through the crowd, seeing as our battle kind of got out of hand.Everyone just stared at me, and I didn't even know what to say. I landed a scratch on her and instead of being happy that I may have potential, I wanted to go back to Litsurbuge and die. The breath was taken from the two of us and not just because of the battle.

Where Senne's and Maleks eyes are conflicted, Kida's were. . . Indifferent, I would say. Everyone 's mouths were hitting the floor, including mine, and the guys we're looking around panicked to say the least. After what felt like forever, Kida finally snapped out of it. "Again." She shakes her head with blood running down her leg.

eight hours a day we've been training. Nonstop combat, advice, learning technique after technique. There were plenty of times Kida's chipped in with the occasional 'duck!' or 'dodge!'. Honestly, I had to give her a look once or twice just so she'd get out of my head when all I wanted and needed was to concentrate. Sweat is dripping down my face and I can't help but fall to the ground in exhaustion. "Ready for lunch?" Kida pipes up. Compared to me, she's barely broken a sweat, but that's because she's been doing this her whole life. Now that I think about it, none of them are really breaking a sweat.

I gave her a dirty look because why couldn't she have asked that question before my body gave out? At least then I could have just hobbled my way to the common space with Achak, just barely dragging behind me. "Lunch?" I ask. "It's still morning." I remind her in the sassiest tone, as if no one here knows the time of day it is.

"Here at the Helagation, they serve lunch early for those of us that don't want to miss the tournaments." Senne tells me, barely giving any emothing to the words that are coming from his mouth. You would think after all our training together, that he'd show a little emotion to me.
