The morning after

The night had passed without so much as a peep from Henvar, to which, I'm genuinely surprised. I'm sure the man's no idiot, so I'm fairly sure he wouldn't just attack right after what happened. But, depending on how long we stay here for, and pray to the Gods that it's not too long, he could come sooner rather than later.

I feel horrible. My stomachs in utter pain. The vomiting from last night has killed it. The nausea hasn't even gone away, it's never ending. My head is spinning, and I'm rudely awoken by none other than Kida herself. She taps my foot some more, and I've just about had it. I don't know what time it is but the rays of sun coming in through the windows tell me that I've been sleeping long enough.

Rustling in my bed, Kida takes a seat at the foot of the bed. "Morning. The guys are still sleeping," and as I recall last night's memories and mishaps, I grow more and more surprised that I'm on Magnus' shit list more than I am. I look up at Kida, who motions for me to follow her. Maybe he'll hate me today when he wakes up.

I cross the room while trying not to make any creaking sound to wake the others. Kida keeps motioning for me to hurry up, but I want to tell her not to rush my sneaking.

After what happened last night, we didn't stay at the Tavern very long. Earl Leif offered room and board and how were we not going to accept it, right? Well, leaving the Wolf's Raven, the guys are singing all the way to Leifs hut, horns in hand. They're all swaying while Kida and I are just taking everything in.

"Let's get breakfast, then I want you to train your Magixa."

"Okay," I excitedly agree. Making our way to the common space, a couple of slaves make eye contact with us. Neither of them say anything and it's clear that they don't have to because it doesn't take long to put some out.

Not wasting any time, I force everything in my bowl to my mouth. Insisting on another bowl, Kida just stares at me. "Wow, I have never seen you eat so much." I don't mean to, but I'm on autopilot when I shoot daggers at her. She's not wrong though, I don't usually eat this much. Kida and I sit across from each other and in my second bowl, comes another two eggs and some more soggy oats with a hint of maple.

They've left us in peace. "I think this could be a great training opportunity for you," she tells me, swirling her fork around her eggs and oats.

I force the oats into my mouth once more and instantly my tongue is met with a honey flavor. "Okay, but besides training, what's our next move? Going to the garden?"
She stops moving her fork to her mouth, "It's not a garden, it's a glade."

"The glade." I correct myself.

"Right," She puts the food in her mouth but swallows before talking some more. "You and Magnus are going to train together, while the rest of us talk with Leif about what our next plan is. Like how we're going to get Perso,"

"I thought you said he was in Deep Rose Glade," I ask a bit annoyed.

"I did, but him being a Druid, I'm sure he has that place trapped like you can't believe." She's right, and if he's in the forest, my fire Magixa will help incredibly. "So again, you with Magnus. Go just outside of Pinkurth, the guards won't care if you use that space." I nod to her. We're both almost done with our food but honestly, I feel like I could eat ten of these bowls. The eggs were so runny, and being combined with the Maple flavored oats, my tastebuds were dancing.

"When do you think I'll be able to learn how to control water?"

Her stare lets me know that my question has caught her off guard. "You want to learn how to control it? But what about fire?"

"I mean, I know water is a bit more difficult but I figured that as soon as I can become comfortable with Fire, we'd move onto water since it's a novice cast."
