Leo:

I stood in my dimly lit house, tying my tie as I received a call from my mother, I picked up the call, and she spoke first reminding me about the dinner at the Romano mansion.

"I am on my way." Though I hadn't finished getting ready, I assured my mother I was on my way. After ending the call, I set the earbud aside and applied my cologne. My mind drifted to Amara, the image of her playing with her hair was still on my mind. Her brown chocolate-like eyes.

I wanted to do things I knew weren't good, but I pushed those thoughts away and made my way down the dark stairs. The house exuded an air of mystery, and in that darkness, I made my way to the garage, the concrete floor reflecting the dim light.

I got into my car and drove to Amara's house. I had agreed to marry Amara after the dinner and my parents were shocked at the thought of me actually agreeing to marry her. My mother wanted to meet Amara officially which meant even I had to go. Although my mother already knows Amara's parents, she still wanted to get to know Amara.

I found my parents who were getting out of their car. I got out of my car and walked over to them, and my father complimented my appearance. I thanked him, but my mother expressed her skepticism about Amara, questioning what I saw in her to agree to marry her after just one meeting. I acknowledged her concern but couldn't help but be captivated by the memory of Amara.

"I still don't get it. You, who always refused every other marriage proposal, agreed to get married to a girl you met just once. It doesn't add up." My mother pressed on.

"Well technically you wanted me to get married to a girl who I just met, that's the whole point of an arranged marriage, Mother." I looked over to my father and found him chuckling at my response, My mother got annoyed and they both walked off to enter the Romano mansion.

As I looked up at the full moon in the night sky, I was reminded of the crescent moon necklace she wore. Lost in thought, I was about to walk inside the Romano mansion when I noticed Amara through her bedroom window upstairs. She was in a baby blue hoodie with shorts barely visible, struggling to tame her hair. The sight amused me, and I smirked slightly. Her nose was scrunched up as she struggled with a hair-curling rod. I slipped my hand into my pockets as I stared at her struggling with her hair.
Her playing with her hair. Chocolate eyes.

I entered the Romano mansion, greeted by the sight of Luca Romano and his wife, Tara Romano, Amara's parents. Tara was wearing a purple dress with her hair in a bun, while Luca was dressed in a black suit. Tara was engaged in conversation with my mother, and my father was talking to Luca about business. As I stood there, I decided to make my way up to Amara's room.

Walking up the stairs, I felt the weight of Luca's gaze on me, but I paid it no mind. The passageway seemed undisturbed as I reached Amara's room, knowing which door was hers from the window I had peered through earlier. Before I could open her door, I heard another door shut. I shot my head in that direction and found a couple walking down the stairs. A blond lady with a brunette man. I knew who they were, it was Zoya Romano and Elijah Romano. Elijah is Luca's younger brother and Zoya is his wife. I ignored them and opened the white door and walked in, only to be met with a knife at my throat, held by Amara. She pinned me against her bedroom wall as I heard the door shut behind me due to the wind which came in because of her open window.

In that tense moment, our eyes locked, and for a moment, we were both taken aback. She hesitated, but before she could take any further action, I decided to test the waters and grabbed her waist, pinning her against the wall. Her hands pressed against my chest, trying to stop me from getting closer. I slipped the knife out of her hand and slipped it into my pocket.

She was shocked, "What are you doing? Let go of me." She demanded. I stared back into her eyes.

"Why did you put a knife to my throat?" I questioned her, instead of replying to her question. For a few seconds, she seemed caught off guard but then broke eye contact and pushed me away, blaming my intrusion for her reaction.

"You entered my room without permission." She said I surveyed her dark, slightly messy room, noticing the clothes scattered on her bed and the cluttered vanity. Despite the tension, I couldn't help but feel intrigued by her fiery spirit. Amara fidgeted with her hoodie sleeve as I stared at her outfit and her face, and I couldn't help but walk over to her bed and sit down, pulling out my phone.

She couldn't believe I was still there, "Leave the room, I need to get ready."

"I will anyways see you in whatever dress you will be wearing so it's fine if I stay here." I teased, As she went into the restroom, taking a dress with her. I stayed seated, unfazed by her dismissive attitude.

After a few minutes, she emerged, wearing an elegant green silk gown with a low neckline and a crisscross back, accentuating her grace and beauty. The crescent moon necklace adorned her neck, and her hair was perfectly styled. She paid no attention to me, busying herself with perfume. My eyes followed her movements.

"What?" She asked looking at me through the reflection of the mirror. She had her hair to her left side, her tattoo was visible and I stared at it, but she quickly covered the tattoo with her hair making me look at her eyes. She cleared her throat and brushed her dress, she walked out of the room ignoring my existence.

Undeterred, I followed her out of the room, chuckling at her attempts to ignore me. This night was bound to be full of intrigue. As we made our way downstairs together, I couldn't help but anticipate what the evening had in store for us.

"You are looking... interesting," I said, walking down the stairs next o her.

"You are looking... interesting too." She rolled her eyes.

"Thank you." I smiled slightly.
