"I'M HERE! i'm not late, i'm here!" the group was startled by a breathless jayden barging into the front door, leaning forward to put her hands on her knees as she tried to catch her breath.

today was gracie's 24th birthday, and it was also their last day on the beach house before they had to go back to the US and back their day to day rotine. the group was organizing a party, that was supposed to be a surprise but was ruined by a drunk olivia who ended up spoiling it during dinner. so now, gracie just had to be locked downstairs while they finished touching up everything.

the problem was, jayden and ethan woke up early to bake her birthday cake, which reminded jayden that she hadn't bought a present for the girl, which was why she had to go into town and find something for her. she felt bad for forgetting it, but either way she knew gracie would never hold it against her.

the living room was decorated with purple, blue and pink balloons, the sofas were placed in the corner of the room so they could drag the dinner table all the way to the middle of the living room, where the cake and a few brazilian traditional birthday sweets were placed.

"aw, everything looks so good, you guys did great!" jayden smiled at the sight, the five mumbling thank you's.

jonnah jumped down from a chair, where he was standing on so he could strap a few balloons hanging from the ceiling, moving to the kitchen to grab a glass of water "you wanna go get the birthday girl?" he asked, looking around to check if everything was already set up.

"everything's ready?" moraes asked with her hands on her pockets, fiddling with the small box of gracie's gift.

"yeah, we were just waiting for you, really" olivia shrugged, taking out her phone to take a few pictures of their decoration job.

jayden nodded as she started to make her way down the stairs and towards gracie's shared room with olivia, knocking subtly when she heard a soft "come in" from inside the place. she pushed the door open, finding gracie laying on one of the beds, scrolling through her phone as she was probably just waiting for everything to be set up upstairs.
