JAYDEN LAZILY walked down the staircase from the first floor to the ground, expecting everyone to be gathered at the table having breakfast considering how late she'd woken up. she was surprise to only find gracie, scrolling through her phone as she waited for her toast to get ready.
jayden hesitaded, contemplating if she should go talk to the girl. she remembered every single detail about the previous night, but she wasn't sure gracie remembered it as well as she did. that doubt slipped her mind when gracie's eyes caught her on the bottom step of the stairs, the girl's face flushing a scarlet red as she turned away. she definitely remembered it.
"hey, you" jayden tried not to sound awkward as she stepped down the last step and walked towards the girl.
"hi" she smiled back, jayden was sure gracie could hear the thumping of her heart against her ribcage as they got closer together, keeping eye contact for a minute before jayden cleared her throat and pushed herself to sit on the counter.
"where's everyone?" she asked, glancing around the empty room. the glass doors to the beach were open though, which probably meant someone had been out there, taking in consideration gracie didn't know how to open those doors.
"only liv and ethan got up, they went for a walk on the beach to look for some nice bar one of your friends couldn't stop talking about last night" gracie shrugged, grabbing her breakfast from the toaster and serving herself, nodding over to offer her 'friend' a piece of toast, which she gracefully accepted "the others haven't woken up yet. my guess is they're hungover"
"probably, min-jun was out of control last night" jayden hoped from the counter to grab a glass of orange juice from the fridge, gracie nodding.
"yeah, i can't believe he almost set the house on fire"
"i can't believe we didn't even notice it" and with that, the room fell completely silent. both girls flushed with memories of the night crowding their minds. clearly gracie wanted to say something, jayden could almost feel her unsettlement from where she stood "uh -- about...that. what are we going to do about this?" she motioned between the two of them.
