JAYDEN YAWNED loudly as she looked for a sweatshirt anywhere on her disorganized room, the morning breeze coming in through a crack in the window that jayden probably opened the night before. she sighed, goosebumps running over her spine when her barefeet touched the wooden floor of her apartament's living room, lazily making her way towards the door.
although the sight that came with it woke jayden up instantly "what the fuck happened to you?!" was the first thing the younger girl said, her voice still raspy from sleep.
gracie entered her apartament without answering. her face was pale and the lower half of her eyes were puffy and red, no doubt she'd been crying. but what really got jayden's attention was the alarming bruise formed on the girl's cheekbone. it seemed to be recent considering it wasn't there last night, but it looked to be from a few hours ago, given the nasty dark green color that was turning upon the middle of the injure.
"gracie?" jayden's voice was softer now, her hands lightly shaking at the sight "who did this to you?" the younger girl seemed scared of the answer as abrams sat down on the kitchen counter.
"no one. i -- i fell" she lied through her gritted teeth.
"oh, you fell?" jayden's tone was sarcastic as she held a look of disbelief in her eyes, the singer nodding absently.
"it doesn't really matter, okay?" jayden frowned at that but before she could protest gracie was already speaking again "i need help covering them up, or people on set are gonna ask questions that i don't plan on answering"
the thought of who did this to her itched jayden's brain as she nodded with a sigh against her own will and moved closer to the girl.
