september 10th saturday
JAYDEN WAS awoken by the high-pitched ringing of her cell phone on gracie's bedside table. the girl jumped up, looking for the phone in a hurry so that the noise wouldn't disturb the slumber of the eldest who slept peacefully beside her, curling up in the duvet while the soft sunlight did justice to abrams' bright, glowing bare skin. jayden smiled at the view, picking up the phone without checking the ID.
"where the hell have you been?!" jayden jumped at the angry female voice at the other side of the line, the movement of the bed being enough to startle gracie awake. jayden cursed herself for that.
gracie groaned, jayden's eyes immediately going wide as she did, "what's-" jayden's hand on her mouth was what interrupted the girl from finishing her sentence. she looked up, obviously astonished by the youngest's sudden behaviour and her urgeful eyes for gracie to not utter a word.
"it's my publicist" she mouthed, gracie's eyes now going wide as she pulled the duvet up to her neck as if the woman was in the room with them. jayden bent down to grab her oversized t-shirt from the floor and pull it on, sparing the bit of dignity she still had in her.
"hey, tara" jayden chuckled awkwardly as she laid back on the matress.
(n/a: side note, i have no fucking idea if i've mentioned her publicist before so if i did and she had another name...no she didn't, look away)
"sorry, i just took a week off and then my dad kinda...died? yeah, i'm in L.A for a few days but i think i'm going back to new york soon --" she explained, noticing the way gracie frowned and silently protested at her mention of going back to her state. "why, what's up?"
"well, first of all, i'm so sorry for your loss, jayden, that's awful. second, young royals is oficially being renewed for a second season and -obviously- they want you in it!" tara's sorrowful voice turned to excitement at the other side of the line, jayden's frown blossoming into a smile on her lips as she giggled happily.
