Chapter 17 - Fixed

The guys had entered my room together but I couldn't help but retreat further onto my bed with my back to the wall behind me.

"I'm sorry" I tell them as I look down, My state held a sense of dissociation "I just...don't want to be crowded...by men..."

They couldn't help but exchange concerned and guilty glances

Everyone but maksy and Liu decided to leave and wait until I was ready. They both took their time sitting on the bed next to me.

"Sal..." Liu spoke calmly as I slowly shuffled forward to sit on the edge of the bed, I wearily move in between them, Liu was on my left and Maksy was on my right. "Are you okay?"

I look up at Liu, still struggling to believe that he was there, I then looked up at masky.

"Do you hate me?" I question him as I couldn't help but think of the harsh hallucinations.

"What?" He questioned showing slight surprise "of course not" his gloved hand gently cupped my face.

I couldn't help but look forward, I manage to wrap my arms around their necks and gently pull them down to my level for a hug. Their arms wrap around me as their hands place on each others backs for stability.

We couldn't help but share a small smile between each other as we leaned into each other.
I was home.
I don't want to leave.

"Okay... I think I'm ready to go downstairs" I tell them as I gained a little confidence.
I died, I came back, I was taken and unimaginable things happened.

But I'm home now, it'll take a while for me to get used to things but there's nowhere else I'd rather be.

Carefully I made my way downstairs and saw the others waiting for me. I was happy to see them as I instantly receive a light hug from Jeff.
"Whenever you need a drink come straight to me" he offered in a quiet tone as his arm was held gently around my shoulders.

"For sure" I give him a small smile as we parted ways. "I could really use one"

I couldn't help but take in each one of them, but as soon as my eyes landed on Ben I couldn't help but stop smiling.

"Are you okay?" I ask him full of concern. Ben had circles under his eyes and appeared a little thinner. He was extremely over exhausted which they didn't think was even possible.

"I'm okay" he gave me a calm smile. He had lost his energetic self, he seemed...weak and empty.

I went over and I slowly wrap my arms around him, we couldn't help but relax into each others embrace.
"Thank you" I spoke weakly into his big blue hoodie with weary eyes.

We eventually let go and I couldn't help but glance at EJ, pictures of him mutilating my body plagued my mind and I grew anxious.

"Sally..." he spoke up wearily seeing my growing fear, he already had his mask off as I glanced up at him with worried eyes.
He decided to pull me into a hug.                     He was careful to just lightly brush the top of ny back, my head leaned into his chest as his hand placed itself on the back of my head.
"You know I'd never hurt you" he muttered.

"I'm sorry..." I express feeling guilty "I can't help but think that- I don't know why, I'm so confused!" I couldn't help but grow frustrated at myself. I felt like a horrible person for being this way.

"It's okay, we'll deal with this together" he assured as he kept his hold on me securely.

Nathan POV

Nathan watched the scene unfold, he saw how they all cared for her, the way they wanted to protect her. Maybe she would be better off for comfort here? Maybe she really does consider these people family, and who is he to take her away from the people she needs the most... even if it wasn't him... or that's what he thought.

He and hoodie caught each others eyes as he watched him hug Sally for a few moments. 

"What do we do now?" She asked

"Go on as normal" Nathan suggested, "live together as you used to and work to heal from what had happened. I'm only a short drive away if you need me"

"Why a short drive away?" Liu suggested "you can stay for a short while so your closer to Sally if she needs you"

"I mean...I could...if that's what you want?"

"Yes please Nathan...I'm sorry..." she told him looking down.

"You never have to apologise" he told her calmly. "I'll go get some of my things and I'll be back okay?"

She gave him a small nod and despite him wanting to stay, he ultimately decided to leave to get his things together.

Reader POV

"Would you like something to eat?" Toby asked me.

"Yeah sure, I'm starved" I reply with a small smile.

"I will have to keep an eye on you for a while, with slenders blood being practically non-existent in you anymore you're much more vulnerable for a certain time." Hoodie mentioned briefly.

"Yeah that's fine, thank you" I tell him, he gave me a small pat on my arm before leaving the house.

"I'm going to sit outside for a little bit" I tell them.

They all wanted to follow but held themselves back. They needed to keep things as normal as they used to be, that means trying to get on with their own business like before as well as still supporting me when needed.

Once I got outside I noticed Masky trailing behind me. . I enjoyed feeling the grass prickling my feet, I look up admiring the clear blue sky. I sat under a tree close to the house and masky sat next to me.

"Are you okay?" He asked quietly after a few moments of silence.

"...I don't know" I answered truthfully. I look up at him "As good as anyone else would be I guess"

He leaned his head on top of mine, he couldn't help but take in the scent of my hair as his arm wrapped around me holding me close.
"I love you so much..." he whispered.

I  couldn't help but feel surprised at his words. finally being able to hear him, to feel him, it made me happy.

"Here" Toby smiled as he walked towards me with some food "dig in" he handed me the plate and sat on the other side of me.

I didn't hesitate to take a bite of the deliciously cooked food.

"You know" I began trying to perk up my mood. "I talked total shit to those guys.
You should've seen the guy who Ben killed before...I remembered the things that you taught me, when I tell you his face was covered swollen bruises and cuts laying unconscious" I couldn't help but chuckle, causing the other two to express a sympathetic smile beneath their masks.

"Well no shit, I'm proud of you" Toby chuckled.

"Yeah looks like he actually is a good teacher" Masky huffed.
Toby got back up and took my plate inside once I was done eating.

"I like your new style" I mention to masky.

"What new style?" He asked confused

"I can see your real eyes behind your mask, it's nice" I couldn't help but mention. "It helps me to read you better"
