Hoodie POV

Hoodie walked into his bedroom and put the old bandages in his bin.

"She could've gone missing all over again, just like that" Nathan expressed his concern.

"Don't worry" hoodie assured him bluntly "now that we know it could happen we're more alert"

"Good." Was all he responded with as he laid down. "So are you going to tell me how she's alive after being buried for a month?" Nathan finally asked, he wanted answers, he wanted to know more about the kind of people his sister affiliated with.

"Well... " he sighed, he wasn't happy that he had to expose more to him. "It's complicated, but think of it like she's had some sort of 'injection' and-"

"Wait- you've been drugging her?!" Nathan instantly stood up

"What?" Hoodie asked in disbelief "of course not! She did it to herself when we were...I want to say preoccupied. But it's not something that the public tend to have access to, it just helped to preserve her"

"What. The fuck?! SHES BEEN INJECTING HERSELF WITH AN UNKNOWN SUBSTANCE?!"

"Lower your voice!" Hoodie warned "she did it once, she made a mistake and I know exactly what it is and what it does so it's just unknown to you!"

"You're lucky she's alive right now or so help me god I'd put you down like a dog." Nathan threatened as he stood in front of hoodie.

"Cute." was all he responded with before going into his bathroom and shutting the door.

As soon as he locked the door he instantly hunched over his sink, gripping its sides as he began to cough violently. He couldn't help but spit dark blood into the sink as Nathan spoke up.

"Are you dying in there or something?" He called outside of the door.

"No." Hoodie replied annoyed clearing his throat and spat the last bit of blood in the sink before turning the water on "just go bed"

Nathan didn't bother any further and went back to hoodies bed.

Hoodie wiped the blood off his mouth with his sleeve before taking the hoodie off along with his mask that sat on his hair, ready to shower. Before he could take off anything else he suddenly felt a sharp stabbing pain in his chest. He couldn't help but fall to the floor and lean against the wall panting as he struggled to breath.

Every breath he took the less oxygen that entered, he began to wheeze as he tried to level out his breathing to try and get through the pain. These have been happening much more recently but none have been this bad or crippling to him.

"Jesus what is it now?" Nathan called out annoyed from hearing his struggles.
"Brian?" He walked up to the door concerned after not hearing a response, but only more struggling. "Open the door" Nathan spoke out as he tried the handle.

Hoodie weakly reached up, leaning as far as he could and managed to flick the lock before falling on his side with a grunt. Nathan pulled the door open and after briefly glancing around he saw hoodie laying on the floor, panting and wheezing as fresh blood drooled down his chin.

"Jesus Christ!" Nathan gasped crouching next to him "do I need to get someone?"

"No" hoodie choked before managing to clear his throat by coughing more blood onto the floor. "Drawers..." he wheezed, weakly wiping the crimson liquid off his skin after Nathan quickly handed him some tissue. "Vial...needle"

Nathan didn't waste time getting up and going through his bedside table until he found a needle and small vial of a dark red, almost black substance. He went back to hoodie and kneeled to him as he handed him the items.

Hoodie shakily stuck the needle through the top of the vial sucking in the content inside.

"What even is it?" Nathan asked looking grosses out.

"Blood" Hoodie grunted yet he was still keeping the bluntness in his tone.

"Wait what?!" He asked shocked.

"The very thing your sister took" He gave a smug smirk as he hovered the sharp needle at the bottom of his spine.

"Woah, woah! Are you sure you're supposed to do it there?" He questioned in shock.

"Nathan... have I ever gave you impression that I have no idea what I'm doing?" Hoodie grunted in pain glancing up at him

"No..."

"Then just shut up and let me do it!" He snapped not being able to bear the pain any longer, Nathan held himself back from arguing as he realised it.

Hoodie quickly jabbed himself where he needed to and and squeezed the blood in.
"Fuck!" He grunted as he brought his arm back forward, he leant on his elbows as he lowered his face on the floor, gritting his teeth in pain.

Nathan didn't know what else to do but sit and wait with him until the pain finally subsided after a while.
Hoodie managed to take deep, calm breaths as he finally felt relieved.

"...you good?" Nathan asked cautiously.

"Yeah..." hoodie muttered sitting up "thanks"

"It's fine" Nathan replied before getting up and leaving to go back into the bedroom.
Hoodie sighed to himself, cleaned up the bathroom and showered.
He dried himself off and got changed into something more comfortable to sleep in.

He walked through the bedroom and was about to leave to go downstairs but he paused. The lamp on Nathan's side of the bed dimly lit the room.
Despite Nathan lying down with his eyes closed hoodie sensed that he was waiting for something.

...

"I'm not getting better" was all he muttered.

Nathan's eyes calmly opened upon hearing him.

"I've been bad before, it can happen...but it's never been this serious...and it's never been this painful..."

Nathan slowly sat up straight as hoodie kept his back turned.

"And for the first time...in a long time...I'm scared...my anxiety has only ever been this bad before I changed...I wasn't supposed to even feel like this again"

His tone wasn't blunt anymore, he was mad with himself...how could he be there for his friends if he couldn't even stand up straight without trouble anymore.

"I'm sorry" Was the only thing Nathan could being himself to say "I do appreciate everything you've done..."

"It's fine" hoodie brushed it off "I'd do it all over again"

Nathan got up and cautiously approached hoodie which made him turn around due to the creaking of the floorboards.
Hoodie stood confused for a second when Nathan wrapped his arms around him.

"What are you doing?" He asked in a low tone.

"Something people do to help comfort others when they're anxious" Nathan informed "it's the least I can do for your help"

"If you want to show appreciation for my help then definitely don't do that and just leave me alone" Hoodie sighed as he pulled away and left the bedroom without another word.
