Laura frowned as Trina's mother Portia came charging towards her & Spencer.

"What the hell did you do to her, you piece of shit? Tell me now," said an angry Portia.

Spencer wiped his eyes & stood up.

"I didn't ask Trina to follow me. In fact, I didn't even know that she was there until Esme shot her," said Spencer who trying his hardest to keep his own anger under control.

Portia then got real close to his face.

"I don't believe a fucking word coming out of your mouth right now. I swear to God, I will have you put in prison, & you will never see Trina again," growled Portia.

Spencer stood his ground. He had a feeling that something was going to happen, & he was right.

Only it wasn't him it was going to happen to.

"That's enough, Portia," said Marcus who had just gotten examined by a doctor following the incident at the Cassadine house.

Portia looked at her ex-husband with confusion. Was he supporting Spencer?

"What do you mean, Marcus? Of course he had something to so with what happened to Trina," she said.

Marcus shook his head. He knew that there was no getting through to her, but he knew that it wouldn't hurt to try.

So he explained as much as he could because he was still very emotional over Trina being shot by Esme.

"Trina came to me a couple of weeks ago & told me that she thought something was up with Esme," he said. "When I asked her why, she told me her suspicions."

Flashback:

"Dad, I know that it's none of my business because I'm not a police officer like you & Curtis both are, but I think Esme is up to something.I just can't put my finger on it," Marcus remembered Trina saying to him.

"Why do you say that, sweetheart?" He asked.

"Well, the last couple of times I've visited Spencer just to talk, she was there & was acting really weird. He noticed it too," said Trina.

"Did Spencer ask Esme what was wrong?" Asked Marcus. Trina nodded.

"When he asked her, she just snapped at him, which really caught both of us off guard," said Trina.

Marcus nodded as he wrote everything she was saying down on a pad of paper.

Then something came to him.

"You know, sweetie, I saw Esme at the coffee shop when I went to pick up my coffee before work the other day, & she was acting the way you just described her as. Weird. She was also with someone," said Marcus who then pulled out his phone.

"Who was it, Dad?" Asked Trina.

He scrolled through some pictures he had taken that day & found the one he was looking for.

"This guy," said Marcus who then showed Trina a picture of a tall dark haired man.

Trina was confused. She had never seen this guy before in Port Charles. That got her curious.

"Are you going to find out who he is, Dad?" She asked. Marcus nodded.

"I'm going to email this picture to a friend of mine at the FBI. Maybe we'll find out what his connection to Esme is," he said.

Trina nodded. She knew that when Marcus got that information on Esme's dark haired friend, maybe it could give them answers on what was going on with Esme.

"Oh my God," muttered Laura as she held Spencer's hand.

Portia, meanwhile, just lowered her head in shame. She had wanted to blame Spencer but simply couldn't. Marcus had made sure of that.

"Now you all know especially you, Portia, so don't blame Spencer for what happened today with Trina," said Marcus whose angry look was directed at his ex-wife. "Blame Esme & her bullshit."

The next thing everyone knew, Portia's husband Curtis Ashford had arrived, & he was very worried.
