Wilbur stood there, stunned, looking at Dream pull away from {Name} as quick as he could and turn around, in some strange feeble attempt for Wilbur to not see his face.

What Wilbur couldn't see was the red sprawled across his face, his thumb tracing his lips in a shocked manner.

Shocked that he just did that {Name} looked at him, a stunned look on her face at the two things that just happened at once.

"DID YOU JUST KISS?!" Wilbur yelled, pointing from the turned around dream and the buffering angel, his own lip quivering a little bit.

"Did we??" {Name} said, looking over at dream as he looked back at her.

"I guess we did," he said breathlessly, still about as shocked as she was.

He slowly backed up to the shore, his back still facing away from Wilbur as he grabbed his mask and put it onto his face. {Name} covered her mouth with both of her hands, finally processing the moment that just happened.

"WHAT THE HELL!?" Wilbur screamed, his heart taken aback at the claim.

"Look, Wilbur, this was all a misunderstanding-"

"How was me walking onto you making out with {Name} a misunderstanding!?" Dream put his hand on his temple, upset Wilbur wasn't listening to him.

"I wouldn't call it a make out..." Dream muttered, getting out of the water as Wilbur walked closer to him.

He poked his finger into the shorter male's chest, making Dream put up his hands in defense for his own sake. {Name} simply spaced out at the water, brain empty and mouth agape.

"That doesn't matter! Why did you kiss her?!" Wilbur demanded as dream simply shrugged, smirking under his mask.

It was one of those smirks you could feel without even seeing it, knowing that his cocky little smile was as present as ever.

The type of shit that made Wilbur's eyes go aflame.

"Spur of the moment, you would've done the same!" Dream retorted, giggling a bit as he saw Wilbur's upset puffed out lip.

Wilbur knew he was right.

He would've done the same if he got the chance.

Her under the moonlight, water luke-warm, her arms around him, and just the right amount of silence.

Not the kind where you can hear your own heartbeat, but the kind where you can't help but not speak.

The kind where only the world was making noise, and you wanted to keep it that way. I

f he was in dreams shoes he would have devoured her without any second thought.

He noticed how soft dream was, unlike himself. Almost as if he needed that moment to be gentle, the only thing he ever wanted to be gentle.

But if he was in dreams shoes, he would've let his heart take the wheel.

His abused, love sick, delusional heart.

See the difference?

"Pfft- spur of the moment.. I bet she didn't even enjoy it! You're just a slut who doesn't put any emotions into his actions!" Wilbur claimed in a furry, as dream was a little taken aback.

He was used to insults, he deserved them for god's sake!

But that one he didn't enjoy very much.

He didn't enjoy it like he enjoyed seeing Tommy's upset face, didn't enjoy it like when he knew he pissed someone off.

It felt like a sickening smell filling up his non-existent home.

A smell that wreaked of lies.

He didn't put much emotional thought into his actions normally, if you felt bad you could never get the job done!

But with {Name}, he put emotion into every step he took.

Every glance that grazed over her figure, every laugh she let out that his ears were blessed with listening to.

She was the only thing he put his emotions into, and he was honestly offended that he would even offer that.

"That is such a false claim!"

"Oh no it's not! Here let's test it shall we?" Wilbur faced over to {Name}, a new smirk playing on his face instead of dreams now.

"Hey, songbird! Do you like old dream over here?" Wilbur asked as {Name} snapped out of her daze, tilting her head in confusion.

 "XD?"

 "Who is XD?"

"Oh, you mean clay?"

"Who is clay???" She sighed, pointing towards the smiley face man as Wilbur just nodded nothing at that was who he meant.

"No..?" She looked at both of them oddly, giggling to herself.

.....

"Angels can't fall in love with mortals anymore."

...

Both of the men's faces fell, shocked looks on instead. Fear glazing their eyes, dancing in their pupils.

"...what?" Dream uttered softly, as {Name} continued to giggle a bit.

"Ever since I was born god put that rule into place... I didn't tell you guys that??" She asked as both of them men shook their heads, words being lost in their throats.

"Are you sure?" Wilbur asked, a little concerned, {Name} biting her lip in thought.

"Well... pretty sure! No angel has ever fallen in love with another human after that rule was put in place. I mean there was this one cheat code that god made for me, though i never really understood it.

He said if I ever found someone I couldn't live without, and they were a mortal, I could bring them up to heaven to get evaluated. But I've never felt anything for any mortal, so I doubt that would ever happen.."

She rambled, as the two men's breaths relaxed at the mention of a possibility.

Though it made tension rise between the two, knowing there could only be one.

One chance, for one person.

Before an immortal fills that role.

"God said it was in my blood to love imperfection, so he gave me that. I never understood what he meant by that though," She shrugged, getting out of the water.

Her dress clung to her body, hugging her curves making Wilbur look longer than he should have.

She patted dream on the shoulder, giggles still filling the green man's ears like a heavenly song.

"Spur of the moment, Wilbur. Though he was a good kisser!" She laughed a bit louder now, unbeknownst to her the two boys didn't find it as funny.

Under his mask, dreams face was as red as a tomato, and Wilbur's lip quivering in jealousy.

She grabbed her ocarina, breathing in and out calmly as she simply started to walk back without giving the two a goodbye.

She knew she would be seeing them sooner or later, so why bother trying to give an unneeded goodbye?

But she left the two boys with one thought consecutively in both of their heads:,

"One chance, for one person. One slot."
