Clay's eyes slowly blinked open, finding himself in a rainy field.

He was under a small horse stable, keeping him dry in the damp outside.

The tall wild grasses fell with the strong droplets, and birds scattered the seemingly endless field in search of worms. They chirped quietly in the soft storm, the sound almost making a chord form from time to time.

They were all mourning doves, their pale feathers seemingly dry in the atmosphere.

The sound of wind chimes could be heard in the background; one was hung right on the edge of the stable.

Clay blinked again, confused on how he got here.

Was he not just in the forest- did he not just find {Name}?

Or.. whatever {Name} was.

He looked up, feeling a pair of fingers run through his hair.

The familiar soft scent of clean sheets, white musk, and a hint of vanilla hit his nose. It made his body soften, just as he locked eyes with a familiar angel.

 "How am I... here?"

He asked dreamily, a lovesick smile appearing on his once serious face.

She was back in her mortal form, her soft skin being illuminated by the soft glow of a nearby lantern. Her hair was down, falling in front of her face as she wore a soft white summer dress.

"We're in your consciousness," She says casually, continuing to run her fingers through his hair.

"I can't really speak English in my Eldridge form so... this will have to make do," She looks away from him, and out into the vast field.

"What I will tell you though is: that I don't know why we're here, why I'm doing this, or where we are. It was all up to your own consciousness," She looks back down at him, tilting her head slightly.

"Did you like.. Grow up on a farm?" She asked him, making him take a deep breath from his rapid heart beat.

"No,"

He replied.

"But a part of me always wanted to end up in one. With a wife, maybe three kids, and horses. Maybe the kids would ride them..."

He muttered, looking away and towards the expanding scene in front of the two.

"..{Name}.. While we're here I just have to say I love you-"

"Oh my god get over yourself!"

She groaned, pushing his head away in annoyance.

"I know! Believe me. But that's not what's important right now. What's important is that I can't get back into my human form,"

She says in a serious tone, as he quickly retorts back.

"I know! But finally I have you alone, to myself, and I need to get this off my chest!"

He begs, turning around and staring up at him on his knees. His eyes were slightly watering, hair slightly damp (somehow, probably from the rain in his consciousness).

He put his hands on her knees,  the wooden chair {Name} was sitting in aged and old.

The wood was made out of oak, and had "C+Y/I" carved into the back.

"{Name} I-" He stuttered, thinking how to get his words out correctly.

"I know that we- have been rocky. I know I'm a horrible, horrible man. I know, believe me.

 But limbo-

angel-

you make me a better man. Some part of me just feels like- like I'm whole with you. I

don't feel selfish, or greedy- or like I'm a god.

In the arms of you, I am just a man.

A man looking at a woman, far too good for him, asking for love,"

Tears were now running down his cheeks, as he held onto her like she could disappear in moments.

She sighed, gently placing a hand on his cheek. He leaned into her soft touch, his eyes fluttering closed.

As if he had finally made it home.

"Clay..." she murmured, her voice gentle.

 "No-"

He interrupted, voice shaking with emotion.

"Just.. consider it, please? Consider me. We could run away and never see any of this again! We could- we could build a farm! And raise two stinkers that'll never know what used to be!"

He told her, grabbing onto her hands and laughing slightly in joy at the thought. She shook off the moment, nodding her head after a few seconds.

"I'll.. think about it. But first, I have to get back to my regular form." She paused for a minute, sighing.

"I need to get in contact with heaven,"

She tells him, as he stares up and listens intently.

"There is a book that I have- I carry it around me in my bag. The green once, you know? I think I left it in pogtopia.. If you could get Wilbur to drop it off for me- or get it yourself- I can set up a ritual to fix.. This,"

She tells him softly, leaning in. The rain still patted gently against the wet field, the smell of fresh water and damp grass filling the environment.

The single lantern illuminated both of their faces, their shadow being reflected on the dark stable wood behind them. Dream gulped back his held up saliva, gently tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

Her skin felt like china silk, and her hair was like spun out fibers of the most luxurious yarn.

"Ill do whatever I can- whatever for you. Angel, I promise I will help you." He said firmly, as she slowly nodded her head.

The reality slowly starts to fade, as her gentle features start morphing into a black, hollow space.

The soft wind chimes fade out into nothing, as the birds become light spots behind his eyelids.

He awoke suddenly, looking into the Eldridge form once again. {Name} slowly set him down, making a slight chirping noise before retreating back into the trees.

He panted slightly, his heart beating rapidly as he looked around at the forest around him. He clutched onto his shirt, quickly running off as if he had a new chip on his shoulder.

Leaving the quiet forest once more, and the glowing sunlight of the tree opening alone.
