By this point, the penthouse was swarmed with celebrities, groupies, general party-goer's and some of Germany's most infamous names, all scattered across the luxurious interior, drinking, smoking or sniffing the plethora of drugs that scattered across almost every surface. Robyn had never seen anything like it.
Despite their expensive attire of suits and dresses, each person looked cheap and superficial as they progressively sunk into a drunken and messy state. Men in their fifties pulled young girls alongside them, their hands fastened tightly over their bodies as they spoke. Managers and individuals Robyn had previously deemed important took hits from elaborate bongs or snorted thick lines of coke, completely disregarding any sense of professionalism they once had. The conversation was grotesque: the men all explain in depth details of their sex lives or who they had seen tonight at the award show, making sure to emphasise the women's 'assets' or what sexual rumours they had heard about them.
She sat alone in one of the arm chairs, her brows furrowed in disgust at the scene unfolding before her.
As smoke spiralled from her lips and into the heavy hanging cloud below the ceiling of the penthouse, she thought of the night and how it had been a complete failure. Her dad was high and a complicated mess and more importantly, the thought of Tom made her burn with rage. Fame had changed them both.
"Are you not having fun?" Luca's voice appeared beside her as he crashed down into the neighbouring armchair, a cigarette and a champagne glass poised in his grip.
"No" she replied bluntly, her eyes only sliding to the side to address him. "Are they always like this?" she questioned, keeping her gaze fixed on their fathers, laughing as they inhaled more cocaine from the coffee table.
The two paused for a moment watching them. Was this all their life revolved around? Was this their idea of parenting?
"Pretty much" Luca sighed, taking a sip from his glass "Every night is a party" he shrugged sarcastically.
"Does your mom know he's like this?" she asked, taking a drag.
"Why do you think she left him?" Luca lulled his head to one side, his expression shifting slightly as his brows dropped in what seemed like shame.
There was a comfortable silence.
"I miss it" he spoke quietly, his gaze falling upon hers "The old type of touring. With my mom and yours, our dad's being actually respectable musicians, our games back stage. It was fun" he listed, reminiscing on their past.
Robyn hummed, a small smile tugging at her lips.
"Yeah" she replied "It was"

"Look at him, he can't even stand up!" Lorenzo exclaimed with an eruption of laughter, pointing downward to Axel who had just collapsed to the floor. He too, laughed hysterically, pushing his thick dreadlocks out of his face as he wearily rose to his feet.
"I'm alive" he slurred "I'm going to find my daughter"
By this point, Robyn was outside on the balcony, two more pills down as she chain smoked in an attempt to block out the painful party inside. Axel stumbled messily to the edge, gripping onto the railing for support.
"Hey baby, why aren't you inside?" he slurred, his body swaying back and forth as he attempted conversation.
Robyn remained staring out into the city, the anger within her rising as each word escaped his lips.
She didn't reply.
"Hey, Rob-" he mumbled drunkenly, brushing the back of his hand across his nose to remove the white residual powder. He sniffed repeatedly, the grotesque noises sounding from his throat as he spat out over the balcony and into the air below. He was a pig.
"Why are you ignoring me?" he complained as if he were a child "I'm trying to talk to you."
She let out a frustrated huff, slamming her hands down into the railing as she turned to face him. She had enough.
"Trying? This is you trying?" she roared "I've come all the way over here to see you and all you've done is get high all night with your disgusting friends"
"Don't speak to me like-" he attempted, his eyes fluttering and lulling open and closed as he looked at her.
"Don't tell me what to do. You are not the parent anymore. You're far from it" she spoke, her expression creasing into disgust. "I can't even look at you"
There was a moment of silence as Robyn turned back to the cities skyline, seeing how stable and structured the array of buildings stood.
"We've had a tough time baby. You know that. I'm trying, I really am" he stuttered, his body bending down onto the railing in an attempt to face her.
She couldn't believe what he was saying right now.
"Your mom-" he began, before she whipped her head around to face him.
"Don't you dare talk about mom right now.You think you're doing a good job look after me after she died? You think she's proud?" she erupted, her words like ice -cold and bitter.
Just then, Robyn felt as soft speckles of raindrops began to cascade from the clouds, each one kissing her skin with its cold touch. It began soft, but quickly escalated into heavy showers, creating a static-like, flowing sound over the city. She felt as it streamed down her skin, branching off like rivers as she watched her father stutter.
"You're a mess" she concluded, her words croaking as she saw his inability to respond.
His eyes couldn't even meet hers as he struggled for a reply.
It was then that Robyn realised that Axel was not stuck for words to reply as she saw his expression shift into anger, his eyes widening wildly as he stared over her shoulder and into the party.
"He has the fucking nerve" Axel mumbled between gritted teeth, ignoring his daughters attempt to get through to him as he strode past her and into the party.
She exhaled in frustration, sinking her head down into her forearms on the railing, tears streaming down her face and intertwining with the rain. She listened as it washed over her. It was no hope, he was too far gone.
Suddenly, she heard as her father's voice roared over the inaudible chatter, his slurring words gruff and frightening.
"Listen here you little shit. You better not think you have the fucking audacity to walk in her right now!" his voice echoed through the room.
Quickly turning, Robyn was almost paralysed in shock as she analysed the scene before her.
Positioned at the door, her father could be seen clutching onto the collar of a very shocked looking Tom.
