"Yes..." I sighed. "Very! But how is this going to help me get out of here?"

"No reason. But he could give you a break." MXES winked at me before glitching away.

"I guess..."

A loud growl came out of the corner of the platform, red eyes beaming through the dark.

"Eclipse...?"

"Eclipse... is that... you?"

I scoot my chair in, picking up the palette. I held it out towards the red eyes, trying to invite him.

"Do you want to finger paint with me?"

It's eyes turned sideways, as if it were confused, or even curious. As it began to approach, Eclipse suddenly jumped back in front of me.

"HELLO, NEW FRIEND! I'm back!" He calmly skipped over to me and sat down with the canvases.

"Here, let me set it up for you, friend!"

Eclipse hummed happily as set up the canvas for me.

"What's your favorite color?"

"Hmm... give me a minute."

"Okay, I'll wait! No rush, friend!"

I thought about what color was really my favorite as Eclipse sat there, swaying in his seat. I could feel the tip of his feet kicking me.
I just looked up at him and he stopped, his head turning around and then back into its original position.

"I would say... maybe a purple or a blue?"

"Ooo! Such a pretty color, sunshine!"

He took the blue and purple tubes of paint of poured some more.

"I have loads of paint unused. Nobody has come by for the past few years and I've been scared that they didn't like the mess..."

He looked at me, his head sinking a bit.

"Don't worry, people are coming... they just— they.. uhm. They're building a new place for you!"

Eclipse looked up at me happily, his sun rays lighting the area more.

"REALLY? OHH, I'M SO EXCITED!" He stood up out of the chair and did a little cheer.

That made me giggle. He was so so cute...
I leaned my head on my hand and my eyes felt like they had stars in them.

"Sunshine, your eyes are shiny, are you crying?"

"No! Of course not! I'm just... thinking."

"Is it something bad..?" He approached me slowly.

I shook my head no, letting him know it was nothing.

"If you say so... I just want to keep you safe, sunshine..." He wrapped his arms around me, keeping me in his embrace.
