MXES only leaned his head to the side and smiled. Ugh stop looking at me like that!

"Where do you think he could have went?" I asked.

"I don't have much control of the place anymore. The cameras are jacked up from my view and I can't fix them."

"Then how did you get here?"

"I was trapped inside my system, but I managed to get out after a few years."

"Must've been tough," I looked around the corner, making sure nothing was there.

"I think he might've went this way." I pointed down the hall.

"Then let's go." MXES was already leaving me behind.

So impatient!

"What's this area?"

"Staircase."

"Righhht."

"You don't know what a staircase is?"

"Obviously!" I grumbled, looking at the staircase.

I hated climbing these things with a passion. I could probably start my own staircase hate group if I wanted to.
I felt MXES's hands in my back, urging me to start climbing.

"Lucky you..."

"Me? Lucky? What makes you think that?"

"You can just do you glitchy thing— and BOOM— you're right there. You don't have to walk or anything."

"It's so much more than that."

"Sure."

I climbed the staircase, already wanting to kill myself. I'm already not feeling well and I just want to go home and get in my comfortable bed. My head down and my toes tucked in tight. Fuck whatever this dream is.
That's right. This might be a dream.
I wish.
I need to stop being so negative sometimes. It's getting in my way. Around me is... ruins— I need to fix it. I need to put this place back together from what it once was.
Eclipse... Chica... the others...? They all need me, and desperately.

"There's so much trash..."

"Pick it up." MXES teased.

"No! What about YOU pick it up!" I picked up a candy wrapper that was lying around.

"What's that?"

"It's a Fazzy Bar. Chocolate mint flavored. Yuck."

"I wouldn't say it's weird. I love mint." MXES took the wrapper away from me and observed it.

"And how do you know what it tastes like?"

"I have my ways."

"Ugh! Again with 'my ways', just tell me!"

"Fine. I can taste, but I can't eat. Got it?" He leaned his head to the side and smiled.
