"Let's make a deal."
"Huh?"
I saw a figure approach from out of the darkness.

"I'm just saying! You said something good for once~."
"Aren't you the one who's just an AI? You're technically a lazy little fat bear who just immediately knows."
"How is that lazy?"
I sat there, a little confused as well.
"Ah— I... I don't know."
Helpi smirked at me.
"Alright. Well let's get up. We need to go..."
"Y'all two don't ever stop nagging me, "come on Y/n, get up, we need to hurry". Please give me a break." I sighed.
"You've had a long enough break. We been talking for a few minutes now."
"I guess so."
I stood up and rubbed my eyes. I felt around under my eyes and felt lines. My body was tired and needed a break. I felt like I could fall asleep for a week straight— but I have to keep pushing forward.
"Let's go."
Helpi nodded and looked like he was ready to go on a ten hour hike. He whistled a tune that was oddly familiar. Sounds like something my mother played to me before I went to sleep— to calm me down.
I began to walk my way through this maze of a place and climbed up some railing.
I caught myself from falling as I looked down at the space underneath me. We were about a few feet above. Ugh, this place needs a better design. What happened to all the small restaurants? Do those not exist anymore? They were much easier to navigate... yet so dangerous.
"Looks like that'd be one hell of a fall."
My eyes widened a little before I had a confused look on my face.
"Did you just..."
"Just what?"
"Did you just... say a bad word?" I teased.
"Look, I'm just going to break out of character this once and just not care about the fact tha-"
"Say it!" I interrupted.
"If you haven't known... now I'm telling y-"
"SAY IT!"
"I'm not being a servant to the boss anymore. For some reason, my system is completely cut off from them so I can't really be watched."
"Uh huh... anyways."
A growl came from my stomach. It sounded like some lion's roar in the morning.
"Ignore that."
"I am, okay? You want me to eat you instead?!"
"No!" Helpi held his hands in defeat. "Of course not! Don't think you can anyways."
"I can sure as hell find my way to though. If some big-brained man could build human-like robots with their own 'conscience', I can sure as hell find a way to gobble you allllll~ up in my tummy~." I sung.
"Okay just go!" He huffed and puffed.
I crouched and slowly angled my body so I could slide off with my feet on the wall. I held tightly onto the edge and got down with no trouble. Of course, my pinky had kind of... healed a bit, but it looked a little swollen. It didn't bother me at all anymore.
First things I've noticed in this room was that there was a huge cupcake staring at me.
"Chica's cupcake...?" I questioned, amazed that I could see this design again.
"Exactly. From a loooong long time ago." Helpi's picture changed into him relaxing back into a chair.
"I know. I remember my mom showing me a picture of her holding it when she was younger."
"So, the cupcake reminds you of your mother?"
"Yep... but I have a new mom now."
"Oh who is she?"
"My new mother's name is (whatever name you'd like)."
"As for your bio mom?"
"I'm not sure... but my father had notes in his closet referring to a blonde girl he used to love so much."
I walked over to the golden cupcake and stared in awe.
"I never got that yellow color from her."
My hand reached out and almost touched it as Helpi began speaking again.
"Wah wah... let's go."
"Ugh."
He always ruins the mood, doesn't he? Definitely not a partygoer. But I can't blame him. Constantly being around parties got to make you exhausted.
Anyways, I can't get my mind off my mother now. I remember being a young girl and never knowing my true mom. I only found out that my current mom wasn't my bio because of one night in late June. I snuck into my father's room while they were out on a date and I went through his closet for shits and giggles.
I found a little box full of paper. And as I opened it, I immediately recognized my father's handwriting.
Slowly, one by one, I read through the papers and broke down into tears.
I didn't know what to think of it at the time, but I could never see my 'mom' the same way ever again.
My father never found out about it, either. In fact, I hid it so well, they still don't know.
I just miss my mother, who've I never met, more than ever now.
