Chandler woke up with a throbbing pain in his head and a shooting pain in his back. He sat up straight and stretched his limbs, yawning as he did so. It was then that he realised he was alone. "Monica?" He sighed groggily, hoping she would just be sitting up. No reply. "Monica?" He sat up, slightly more concerned. still nothing. Chandler sat up and took a brief look at his surroundings. It was then that he realised it was no longer dark out but yet was far from daylight. He continued to scan the interior of the van, but Monica was nowhere to be seen. He quickly threw on his jeans in panic and ran outside and began to search for her, her name ringing in his ears as he screamed for her. Then Chandler's heart fell from his chest as he approached a small ditch by the side of the road. There lay Monica, passed out, drenched in sweat and clinging to an empty bottle of vodka. "Jesus Mon!" He sighed as he climbed down to pick her up. Chandler began to stroke her hair as he gathered her into his arms, shaking her limp body in an attempt to waken her. "Monica?! Come on! You need to wake up now" he spoke softly, trying his hardest to not let the worry in his voice be heard. When she showed him no signs of waking up he thought of the next best thing. Chandler put his arms around her body, her slow breathing very aware to him, and carried her into the back of his van. He lay her body down onto the make-shift bed and pulling the duvet up. "come on Monica" he whispered, laying next to her and stroking her hair "wake up sweetie". Still showing no signs of waking, Chandler crawled in next to her and wrapped his arms around her. "Please don't go Mon. Please wake up. I don't know what I'd do without you" Chandler cried "Monica I... I love you" he whispered as he fell asleep, clinging to her weak and sleep-induced body.
