"Hey, y'know what we should do?" Monica said as she sat, cross-legged in the passenger seat of Chandler's van, poking his side. "What?!" Chandler sighed, trying to ignore her as long as humanly possible. "Play a game!" She almost squeaked. "No. We're almost at the motel anyway so just wait 5 minutes until we get there" Monica sulked slightly as she sunk back into the leather seat.

"Monica!"
She was awoken suddenly to the call of her name. "What?" She sighed bringing her hands up and rubbing her eyes, careful of the black makeup staining around her eyes. "We're here" she heard vaguely as he stepped from he van.

After removing their bags from the back of the van, both began to sigh.
"What?" They asked simultaneously, stifling a short giggle from each other.
"Come on, lets get inside" Chandler said quietly as he locked the van and they headed into the motel.

The motel was dark and cold. The wallpaper and flooring seemed to resemble the late 60's, reminding both Chandler and Monica of their childhood and a simpler time, and most of the furnishings looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the then either. Monica gave Chandler a side glance of disgust before he smirked and leaned closer to her, " it's just for tonight, Mon" he whispered before walking forward to the desk. There sat a sad-looking old man, asleep and falling from his chair.
"Um, excuse me?" Chandler whispered quietly, trying to gain the man's attention. He tried again, but to no avail he just turned to Monica with a guilty look on his face. She smiled sympathetically at him and rolled her eyes before striding past Chandler and slamming her hand down on the small old bell sat on the desk. The old man shot from his seat and instantly beamed at the two young adults in front of him. "Hello kids, what can I do you for?" He asked smiling still. "Um, one room please. For the two of us please" Chandler asked proudly, glad he was able to ask for a room himself
"Here you go son" the old man handed him the key "and have fun you too" he winked, to which Monica just smirked.

As they headed down the corridor, the heard several different noises coming from each room. Some was silence, some were sexual, some were of anger and some were of pain. Monica got chills every time she heard a cry or a scream from one of the rooms. "Chandler? Do we really have to stay here?" She asked nervously as she lagged behind. He stopped suddenly and turned to her "it's only for tonight and tomorrow morning we will get back on the road, okay?", she nodded in reply and the continued along the, what seemed, never-ending corridor until the reached their room. Chandler put the key into the door and turned, until he heard about 4 clicks, before he then shoved the door open.

The room was, much like the rest of the motel, badly lit and cold. "Has this place no heating?" Monica asked as she pulled her arms around herself tightly. "I know, it's freezing. Do you want my jacket?" He asked her taking it off "thanks" she smiled as she took it from his hand. "I need to lie down" he sighed, flopping into the middle of the bed. "Uh, Chandler?" She said pointing past him. "what?" He asked, but realised as he said it.

They only had ONE bed!
