That sunrise Chrys woke up like she usually did to the sound of Sarge's wake up call. But a few seconds later, Filmore's hippie music started to play.
"Will you turn that disrespectful junk off?!"
"Respect the classics, man! It's Hendrix!"
Chrys opened her window and shouted at the two from the motel. "Come on, you two! It's too early for this!"
The creature then shifted to her true form and went out to her dirt track, Doc was heading in the same direction.
"If he's using my track without my permission, I'm gonna toss him into the cactus ditch again." Doc chuckled as they continued head to the track. Sheriff was there watching Lightning as the racer ran laps.
Chrys went over to the cactus patch she usually eats from and watched as Lightning failed at the last turn. She picked some of the cactus and some of the ripe prickly pears that grew.
She watched as Sheriff left and Doc approached Lightning, giving the rookie some advice, but it didn't seem the red car took Doc's advice as he drove away leaving the old racer in the dust. The creature ate her breakfast and watched as Doc started to leave.
"See you back in town, Chrys."
"See you, Doc. You might want to get Mater; I think he might go into the ditch." Chrys saw as Lightning tried to follow Doc's advice and ended up in the cactus ditch. A tall cactus then fell on McQueen causing him to let out a yell of pain.
The creature swallowed the last of her meal before sliding down into the ditch, her exoskeleton protecting her from the sharp points of the desert plants. "Need help?"
Chrys used her front, four limbs to lift the cactus off Lightning. "What are you?"
Lightning watched as she picked some of the smaller cactus' away from his hood. "I already told you. I'm Chrys."
"No that's just your name. What are you?"
"I. Am. Chrys. That should be good enough an answer." Chrys sat next to him as they waited for Mater.
"But it isn't! It's like you're trying to hide something! I get why you're being secret with me since I tore up the road-!"
"You also flirted with my mom, acted like a jerk to everyone, didn't fully take Doc's advice at all, and are now harassing me about my species." Chrys' voice grew deeper and threatening with everything she listed.
"I'm sorry, okay! I just never seen something like you, let alone something that can turn human!" The creature's tail lashed up in her scorpion like way again and struck a rock, splitting it in half.
"You don't need to know what I am! I Am Chrys, Daughter Of Queen Rouge And King Damian! And I will Not Be Treated Like Some Mindless Animal!" With that Chrys left when Mater came, the tow truck saw how upset she looked as she stalked away.
"Howdy, Chrys. You, okay?" Chrys shook her head and sighed.
"I'll be fine. What's going on with you?" Mater perked up and smiled. "Well, I was wondering if you'd like to go tractor tipping later tonight."
"Sure, I've got nothing better to do."
Later that night Chrys had a deadpanned face as McQueen and Mater were on either side of her crouched human form.
"Mater, I'm not doing this!" Lightning whisper shouted as he looked to the truck and then casting a glance to the teen with them.
"Oh, come on, you'll love it. Tractor tipping's fun." The three eyed the tractors in the fenced in field, Chrys' eyes dilating and slightly glowing in the dark.
"Alright, listen, when I say go, we go. But don't let Frank catch you. Go!" Mater and Chrys ignored Lightning as they made their way passed the fence and up to the tractors.
"Ok, here's what you do. You just sneak up in front of them and then honk. And they do the rest. Watch this." Mater then deminstraighted on one of the unsuspecting tractors. He snuck in front of the tractor, and when he got close enough, he honked his horn really loudly.
The tractor woke up with a fright, tilted back and fell on its back. Then a gurgling sound came from the tractor before it backfired and let out smoke rings from its exhaust.
Both Mater and Chrys laughed at this. "I swear, tractors are so dumb! I tell you what, buddies, you don't get any better than this." Chrys agreed as she walked with the two.
"Yep, you're living the dream, Mater boy." Mater didn't pay attention as he snuck up on another tractor and tipped in, all while imitating a backfire as the tractor did.
Both mater and Chrys laughed again, the 'human' clutching her stomach as she doubled over in laughter.
"I don't care who you are, that's funny right there. Ok, your turn, bud." Lightning was hesitant and unsure about this.
"Mater, I can't. I don't even have a horn." Chrys then got up and crossed her arms as Mater called him, "Baby."
"I'm not a baby." Chrys then started imitating chicken noises with Mater as she flapped her arms like wings. "Fine. Stop! Ok! Alright! I'll do something."
Lightning then approached one of the tractors, looking over to Mater and Chrys, both of them gesturing for him to go ahead and tip the tractor. Mater doing t with his tire, and Chrys motioning with her hands.
He rolled his eyes and looked at the tractor in front of him before having an idea. Lightning revved his engine loud enough to wake the whole herd of tractors. They all tipped and one by one backfired.
The three laughed and froze when a loud noise was heard, and lights were seen behind trees. "That's Frank." The two truck drove off as the lights got closer.
Chrys hopped onto Lightning's roof and held on as Frank, a terrifying farm vehicle, torn through some bushes. "Get going, now!" The race car listened to the teen holding onto his roof.
He soon caught up with Mater, who was having the time of his life driving away from Frank.
The three did escape by breaking through the fence and driving back to town.
