Assignment 3 - Jobs

Nick's POV

I wake up to a knock on the door and Charlie's arm across my stomach. I check my phone for the time. 7:34am, we still have an hour before school. I carefully slide Charlie's arm off me and climb out of bed to answer the door. I open it to find the delivery guy from B&Q with all of our kitchen stuff. I let him in so he can start putting everything in the kitchen.

Whilst he's doing that, I go back to the bedroom to check on Charlie. He's still asleep, so I write a note that the delivery man is here and place it on top of his phone, so he doesn't get a fright when he gets up, and then I close the door.

It doesn't take the delivery man long to get everything in and he's finished after about half an hour. Once he's left, I decide to check on Charlie again, who's finally awake. "Morning."

"Morning. I got your note." He says waving it in the air. "How long have you been up?"

"Since around half 7, the delivery guy came around that time, the knock on the door is what woke me up."

"You could have woke me up you know. I could have helped."

"No it's ok. You were peacefully sleeping so I didn't want to wake you up. Besides the guy did it all himself anyway. All the kitchen stuff is sorted, we just need to buy food and stuff."

"That's good then. I think the ikea delivery is coming later on when we're out. I've asked my dad to stay and wait for it, he said he didn't mind; so it should all be done by the time we come home tonight."

"That's great. I ordered the TV we agreed on last night too and I'll bring mine from home for in here and then that's everything sorted."

"That's great. We've finished our assignment 4 days early."

"Yeah. I wonder what our next assignment will be? Have you got any ideas?"

"No, I have no clue. Its funny how they give us this new class but don't tell us anything about it."

"Yeah you're right. Anyway, we should probably get to school we've got around 20 minutes until we need to be in form.

"Yeah okay."

*Time Skip*

At lunch, I meet up with Charlie. I've managed to avoid my friends again so far. "Do you want to find Mr Ajayi and tell him we've finished our assignment? They said they have to look at it to make sure we've actually completed it. Thought we could get it over and done with?" I ask Charlie.

"Yeh sure. He's probably in the art classroom."

We make our way to the art classroom and tell Mr Ajayi that we are finished our assignment. "Already?" He says, clearly surprised.

"Yeah. We wanted to get it done so we didn't have to worry about it." I reply.

"That's a good idea. Well I can come and have a look at it on Monday if you'd like? Give you the weekend to sort any last minute things out?"

"Yes that would be great thank you sir. Have a nice weekend."

"You too Nick, and you Charlie. See you next week."

*Time Skip*

The weekend went by pretty fast. Charlie and I spent most of it playing Mario kart since the TV showed up after school on Friday. Our apartment is completely finished now, Charlie's dad helped the delivery guy put the rest of the furniture in the right place on Friday, so we had the entire weekend to relax. It's Monday morning now and Charlie and I are waiting for Mr Ajayi to come and look at our apartment. Thankfully Mr Ajayi gave us the day off school, since he didn't know what time he'd be coming.
