Monday 15th January

Charlie's POV

It's been a month since we found out Nick and I are having twin girls. It's been a long month. I'm only 24 weeks pregnant but I'm already ready for these babies to be born. The constant headaches, cravings and sickness have been getting on my nerves and I've had enough.

Nick has been helpful through it all, making sure I'm eating enough despite the sickness and being really caring throughout.

Elle is due to have her triplets next month. If I think twins are going to be hard, I don't want to think about how hard it'll be for her having triplets. Elle hasn't had as many symptoms as I have throughout her pregnancy, I'm sort of jealous. She's also been handling it a lot better than me, even having to calm me down a few times. It's kind of embarrassing.

We're all going over to Tao and Elle's today. They've had exception from classes with them being so close to their due date, so we're all gonna go over and have a games night since we haven't seen them much.

That's how I'm in my current predicament. Standing in front of the mirror, finding something to wear that actually fits me. I've outgrown all of Nicks Clothes now, and I'm in actual maternity wear. None of them look very nice but what can you do? I've chosen a dark blue t-shirt that falls a little loose over my stomach (still looking noticeably pregnant though) and some black maternity joggers. Feeling somewhat happy with my outfit I meet Nick at the door of our apartment to leave.

Once we get to Elle's we notice everyone else is already there. Tara and Darcy (Tara in a stunning purple maternity dress), Isaac (reading a book as usual) and Imogen, who we have recently started getting to know as she is an old friend of Nick's. Seeming to all having been waiting for us, they start grabbing all the games and we decide which one is first.

We've been at Tao and Elle's for around 5 hours playing games: Cluedo, Trivial Pursuit, Ludo and now we have began Monopoly.

We're around 2 hours into the game and there is only me and Tao left in (everyone else is already bankrupt). I am about to win but Tao isn't having it trying to find a way around it. Only when Elle starts to cry out in pain does he stop. We all turn to see Elle holding her stomach and wincing. I immediately go into panic mode.

"Elle, you okay?" Tao asks.

Clearly in labour, Elle points to the door. "Hospital now." She says strangely calm.

The game gets pushed to the side as Tao grabs a bag off the coat rack and leads Elle out the door, all of us following behind.

Once we get to the hospital, since Elle is high priority, carrying triplets and in labour, she gets rushed in straight away, Tao following in tow. All of us wait outside hoping that everything will be okay.

Around an hour later Tao comes into the waiting room and announces that one of the babies have been delivered safely and then rushes back in. All of us sigh in relief but still anxious about the other two.

It's another 10 minutes until he comes out again announcing the birth of the second baby. Still holding out hope that the third will be alright he goes back in.

Finally around another 15 minutes later Tao emerges again announcing that baby number 3 is healthy and that Elle is resting but she is fine. We all give a big sigh of relief.
