"fuck!" hyunjin yelled in frustration as he kept having trouble trying to maneuver boxes from one room to the next. it didn't help that he kept stubbing his toe on arbitrary things.

needing a break, he dropped the box that contained his clothes on the ground, and threw himself on the floor, allowing himself to catch his breath.

the only thing that could be heard in that moment was the ticking sound of his alarm clock that could heard through a box. he happily listened to it as he stared at his ceiling.

after ten minutes, hyunjin gave in and finally stood up, stretching a bit.

"you do not control me, i control you!" he exclaimed as he glared harshly at the box of clothes. stretching one last time, he wrapped his arms around the box, finally picking it up.

just as he felt some pride from picking up the box, his doorbell rang, scaring him, and causing him to drop the box on his big toe.

"ow! fuck! motherfucker!" he yelled all across the house, and as it still remained partially empty, the words echoed off the wall.

swinging the door open, he blew the small piece of strand off his face. "hi," he smiled. the boy across from him looked at him alarmingly.

"are you okay in there?" he asked, concern written all over his face. hyunjin laughed, opening the door wider.

"yeah, i hurt myself earlier, but i'm all good now!" he explained. the boy nodded and pushed his arms out in his direction.

hyunjin looked curiously at the tubberware in front of him. "my friend baked you some brownies as a kind of 'welcome' to the neighborhood" the boy said.

"he wasn't able to drop them off today since he's still at work, but he urged that I bring them to you now so... here!" he grinned at the older.

hyunjin couldn't help but be grateful for such the nice gesture. his introduction to this neighborhood wasn't all that wonderful, but this could be a start. he grabbed the brownies with no complaint.

"thank you, i really really appreciate this, you have no idea. could you please let your friend..."

"felix! his name is felix. i'm jisung," he answered.

hyunjin nodded. "please let felix know that i said thank you. maybe you can both come by soon? i'd love to get to know the both of you! and also repay you for the brownies"

jisung waved his hands around. "you really don't have to do that, trust me. but I know that felix would absolutely adore getting to know you, so we will be back, I can promise you that much,".

"sounds like a plan then" the older said. jisung agreed and bid his goodbyes. sighing, a lot more content than he was before, he shut the door, and turned around, facing the biggest battle of his life.

"this means war," he glared at the boxes that were all surrounding him. slowly, but surely, he started moving the boxes around, unboxing them in their designated areas.

hyunjin felt proud of himself once his home began appearing more like there was life within it. he wasn't quite done with packing yet, but all the boxes were in their proper rooms, and that was enough for the boy.

looking at the time, hyunjin made the executive decision to start getting ready for bed. luckily, he requested the need of his bed from his parents, which they didn't argue against, so he wasn't sleeping on the plain floor.

he went over to where his desk was, in hopes of placing his jewelry away for the night. just as he was doing so, he looked out his window to see the boy from last night once again.

hyunjin walked closer to his window to get a better view. his window looked directly into the other's and from what he could see, the boy was reading at his desk, light shining bright from above him. his glasses once again down his nose, as he remained focused on the words in front him.

hyunjin couldn't help but admire him from afar. the boy was adorable, and it only made him more curious about who the he was. just as he was getting comfortable while admiring the boy from afar, the other glanced up, making direct eye contact with the other.

hyunjin jumped and shut his blinds instantly. breathing heavily, he stood still until he felt it was socially acceptable to move around. once he peaked out his window once again, he was met with darkness, as his neighbor had shut his blinds as well.

trying not to feel too bummed out about it, he continued on getting ready for bed.

"don't make an idiot out of yourself" the boy scolded himself before shutting the lights off in his room.
