"(Winged Hero) Hawks and I have been friends since school, but that is all we remained. Hawks is a great friend and an even better mentor. I wish him a fast and comfortable recovery."
The headline stares back at him as if it'd win a contest. Touya wasn't mad, in fact, he was quite amused. That response sounded nothing like him, and if the public cared to know him, they'd see that immediately.
Touya scrolls further down the news post, past pictures of him - some even of his brother. They have more information than he initially thought, and it's only a matter of time until they uncover something deeper.
Touya remembers when he dipped his toes into the League - how Shiggy was the only one he could trust for months when he finally got back on his feet. It was nice to live a life he didn't know, but being a character for the rest of his life sounded like Hell. He's just glad you and Keigo dragged him out when you did.
It's not easy thinking about that time in his life.
Yet, he continues down in the article, past the mentions of the successful underground missions he's embarked on during his short career, and the invisible praise. Touya separates himself from it all so easily that it doesn't even last a second in his mind. He's bored of looking at his face on a screen.
It was night, early night, and he was just finally getting his thoughts together after Keigo's blood transfusion earlier that day. He's supposed to be resting but insists on cooking dinner - contributing something as he's been so stagnant for the entire week and a half that you and Touya have been back. They've fought about it a few times, but nothing ever comes of it. You're usually close around to settle the tension, but right now you were at work.
Life falls like dominos in a line when you're all together like this. You were at work with Shota and Adan now that they were back in the country, and Keigo had his appointment that Touya took him to. It's blissful to get around so naturally now, and that's how Touya knows you all are content.
Then, he remembers why he was back here in the bedroom in the first place. He was wearing trousers and needed them off of his skin as soon as possible. He also just wanted to sit, not expecting to be drawn into his phone like he allowed himself to.
He makes it to unbuttoning the top of his pants, undershirt still clinging tight to his torso before the bedroom door swings open and you're suddenly in his sights.
"I thought Keigo was supposed to be resting." You toe off your shoes, out of breath for some reason. You had passed Keigo in the hall - inquiring about the same thing only to get pushed to the side and met with a kiss instead of words. You didn't mind, you were glad to see him okay, but worrying is natural.
However, right now, you had one thing on your mind.
You drop your bag on the floor, balancing yourself against the wall as you finally kick your shoes off.
On the bed, Touya shrugs, looking at you with furrowed brows. "He's gonna do what he wants. Why are you in such a hurr-
There's fire behind your steps as soon as he starts his sentence, with only one objective in mind. You slide a knee between Touya's legs, hand reaching down into his open crotch as you lean into him in a steady kiss.
Touya's surprised at first, but he doesn't question anything. All he does is give you some balance with a hand propped against the mattress, keeping him upwards on the bed.
You're too frustrated that your hand can't quite find its way into Touya's briefs, so you fumble against the outside like an idiot, praying your enthusiastic tongue made up for your clueless fingers. It works shortly because you milk a small moan from Touya's parted lips, but it doesn't get you far. You needed more.
