I was rudely awoken this morning by Lacey. She decided to let herself into my room using the key card that she stole from our parents, and she woke me up in the rudest way ever. By screaming my name in my ear and shaking my body like the boat was sinking. That's what I thought was happening when I officially woke up, thanks to her."Guess what!" Lacey grins from ear to ear, which settles my fear of the boat sinking, because there's absolutely no way that the boat would be sinking and she would be grinning like that, unless she were a total psychopath. She's not, to my knowledge at least.
"What?" I rub the sleep from my eyes as I question her in a rude tone.
"I settled on the guy!" Jesus, that's why she woke me up? I don't give a single shit about which interview went the best, or who she settles on. Not right now, and probably not ever.
"Good for you." I pull myself out of my bed and start heading towards the bathroom.
"He's cute." Lacey follows behind me, not taking the hint that I really don't care. "The only thing is, he just seems to care about cars. Like, that's all he talks about."
"Unfortunate." I mutter as I walk into the bathroom and slam the door behind me. I hear Lacey sigh heavily as I walk to the sink and pick up my toothbrush.
"Alright, I get it, you're not a morning person right now." Lacey says from the other side of the door as I squeeze toothpaste onto the bristles of my toothbrush. "I just wanted to let you know because you're most likely going to be hearing banging on the wall, and I didn't want you to be alarmed like I was the other night."
In other words, thin walls. She could hear everything. That's noted.
"I'll leave you alone now. Have fun with your friend!" I roll my eyes as I start brushing my teeth.
After I finish getting ready for the day and covering the hickeys using the makeup that Lacey let me borrow, I leave the room to meet Colt at our usual spot on the upper level of the deck, hoping that he'd be there waiting for me.
Only, when I do reach the upper level of the deck and find him, he's not alone. His back is turned towards me, making it impossible for him to see me, but he's facing another girl, and that girl has a very flirtatious smile on her face. I can't see Colt's expression, since his back is to me, but when that girl giggles at something that he said to her, I know that it's best to turn around and walk away again.
So, I do. Without any hesitation whatsoever, I turn around and I walk down the steps, leaving the two of them on their own so that Colt could continue to attempt to sleep with the girl. It doesn't look like he'd have to attempt too much before she gives in. Just like with me, apparently. That must have been the only thing he wanted in the first place, and he got it. Twice. Twice is too much.
The bastard got me to like him enough to give in, and now that he got what he wanted, he's going to the next one. I should've known, but I was an idiot. An idiot who thought that there was no possible way that Colt would lie to me about the way he felt, because he doesn't seem like the type to do that. He is, in fact, the type to do that. That fucking hurts. It's painful, it feels like my heart has been ripped out of my chest and run over by a semi-truck and then shot three times for extra measure. How could I be so stupid?
