YOU WERE PACING AROUND the room backstage waiting for the principal to call you for your valedictorian speech. Just thinking about how far you've come and how hard you worked to make sure you were valedictorian makes you want to cry, but alas you couldn't afford to cry right now because you already cried earlier while moving the tassel on your cap. At this point your lashes were hanging on by a thread.
You remembered the promise you made to your brother B/N when he graduated while you were a freshman. Now here you were, 18, valedictorian, true to your word. You sat nervously in one of the chairs backstage and went over your speech once more. You were going to have the paper in front of you on stage but it never hurt to prepare.
"And for our closing statement I'm calling up our very own model student, our valedictorian, Y/N L/N!" To say your heart was in your stomach would be an understatement. But nonetheless you got up and walked out of the room making your way towards the stage.
