(Aw yay! An Ian imagine finally :3 Hhah)
I threw the last bit of clothes I needed into my suitcase and zipped it up. Lifting the small suitcase off the bed, I carried it to the door of the apartment.
"Ian! Come on, we're going to be late!" I called.
"I'm coming!" He called from down the hall. He made his way to the door, suitcase in hand. I smiled. It was Ian and I's first anniversary, and we were celebrating by going on a ski trip. Sure, it wasn't all that special, but it would just be the two of us. No family, no friends. Just us, spending some alone time together, which rarely ever happened. It was always either he was on tour, or I had work stuff, or there was family stuff. We never really got a whole lot of time to just spend in each other's company.
"You ready to go?" He asked.
I fixed my glasses and nodded. "All set." I picked up my suitcase, opened the door, and left. Ian followed, locking the door behind him, and we made our way to the elevator. Ian and I were driving to the mountains, where we rented a small chalet to stay at for the weekend.
When we got to the chalet Ian immediately took our bags to the bedroom and I walked around, checking it out. The place was perfect. Small and cozy, just like you'd see in a movie. It was a wood cabin, and there was a small kitchen area with a counter, stove, and a fridge. There was a small coffee maker on the countertop which made me grin. At least we wouldn't have to live without coffee. The living room had two couches, an armchair and a fireplace. There was a small pile of wood beside the fireplace so I put some in and started a fire burning.
I was standing, watching the fire blaze and thinking about how perfect the weekend will be when Ian snuck up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. He kisses my cheek gently and I smiles.
"You wanna go skiing?" Ian asked, rubbing circles in my hands with his thumb.
I nodded. "Definitely. Let me just get changed." He nodded and I went to the bedroom and quickly changed into jeans and a wool sweater. I tied my hair back in a ponytail and grabbed my ski jacket.
When I went back out, Ian was all ready to go and we left and hit the slopes.
We had probably been skiing for four hours but it felt like five minutes. Any time spent with Ian was so much fun it felt like it was no time at all. When we got back to the chalet Ian stocked the fire with more wood and I changed into some pyjama pants. I went back to the living room and saw Ian holding a couple movies.
"Movie night?" He asked.
"Of course!" I smiled. "I'll get the popcorn, you set up the movies." He nodded and I went to the kitchen.
I started the popcorn and got out a bowl, then waited for it to be done. A couple minutes later I poured the popcorn into the bowl and carried it back to the living room. Stopping in the doorway, I gaped at the sight in front of me. Ian had set up a fort in the middle of the living.
Standing beside it, he grinned. "You like?" He asked. I nodded. We both climbed into the fort and started watching the movies. About halfway through the first one the popcorn was already gone. Ian had his arms wrapped around me as we watched the movies, only moving in order to put the next one in.
We watched three movies. Or four. I couldn't remember. By the third one I was falling asleep. The warmth from the fire, paired with soft blankets and Ian's arms was more than enough to lull anyone to sleep. I'm sure Ian didn't mind that I was asleep, he for some reason found it cute when I fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up, stretching out in bed. Wait, bed? I sat up and looked around. Yes, I was definitely in bed. I smiled slightly, realizing Ian must have carried me to bed when I fell asleep. Looking beside me, I also realized Ian wasn't there and the familiar scent of eggs and bacon was wafting through the air. I got out of bed and put a sweater on, heading out of the bedroom into the kitchen. Sure enough, Ian was standing by the stove, making omelettes and bacon. There was fresh coffee, and bread toasting in the toaster. He looked up as I walked in, smiling.
"Morning beautiful." He said cheerfully, kissing me on the cheek as I grabbed a mug to pour some coffee.
"Morning." I replied, just as cheerfully as him. I prepared my coffee and sat on one of the stools by the counter. "What's all this for?" I asked, indicating the full breakfast for two.
He shrugged. "I was awake, I figured I'd make breakfast for when you woke up. I was hoping to finish before you got out of bed so you could have breakfast in bed."
I chuckled. "I can go back to bed if you want." I offered.
Ian nodded. "Yes, do that. Go. I'll be there in about five minutes."
Picking up my coffee, I got off the stool and went back to the bedroom, chuckling lightly as I did. Ian was such a funny guy sometimes.
Like he had said, about five minutes later Ian walked in with a tray of food. He set it down carefully on my lap and sat on the bed beside me. I looked down at the breakfast and smiled. An omellette, a couple pieces of bacon, some toast and a glass of orange juice.
"Thank you, it looks amazing." I said, looking up at him.
Ian smiled, saying, "It was no problem. You deserve it."
Ian stayed beside me while I ate, trying a couple times to steal some of my bacon, only for me to swat his hand away, causing him to laugh. When I had finished eating I put the tray on the bedside table. Ian leaned against the headboard of the bed, resting his hands behind his head.
"Alright," he said, "Time for you to make me breakfast now. Chop chop."
I laughed, picking up my pillow and hitting him with it. "You wish." I said, laughing again.
He raised an eyebrow, before picking up his own pillow and hitting me back. "Don't hit me."
"I will if I want."
"Oh, it's on."
It was a full on war. We both stood up on the bed, beating each other relentlessly with the soft, feathery pillows. We were laughing nonstop, so much so we had to take breaks to control our laughter, only for it to get out of control a few minutes later. By the end of the battle we both collasped back on the bed, the odd feather from the pillows floating up in the air, only to drift back down slowly.
"Durable pillows." Ian commented.
I smirked, looking up at the ceiling. "Probably a durable bed too."
The mattress shifted and Ian's face appeared over mine, grinning. "Let's test it." He said quietly, kissing me softly.
