Someone shook me awake. Confused and still half asleep I looked at Georgino. "I'm sorry, but I need you to come with me. We have a situation." "Did someone die?" I asked, dread shaking off my last remnants of sleep. "No." I swung my legs over my bed. "I hate that death was your first thought." He said quietly while he watched me get dressed. I ignored how his eyes traced the muscles of my stomach or how his eyes darkened in longing. "We are criminals by society's standard." "And by yours?" I walked to him and stood as close as I dared to do without kissing him. The pull between us had only intensified since we had made one step closer to forgiveness... "We are rebels. Not bowing to anyone's rules but our own." "Who knew you were so poetic this early in the morning." But judging by the smile he wore he liked what I had said. I wanted to tease him more but stopped. There was no need to make this hurt more. "If everyone is alright, why did you wake me?" Georgino pushed off the wall and opened the door for me. "I'll tell you with the others." I walked in front of him and hated how good it felt to have Georgino towering behind me.

We were the last to arrive in the meeting room. Mario, Marco, Sandrino and Cassio were all sitting around the table. "Thank you for coming." Georgino sat down at the head of the table. "The group you guys encountered last-. Well this night was just arrested. The whole club was shut down and the police made over 10 arrests. Aurelio is trying to get more information right now, but none of our family are in jail." My eyes widened. That was bold. The police had stopped tip toing around us. "Guess your call saved our asses, Matteo." Mario grabbed on to my shoulders. "Dumb luck more than anything." I replied but was relieved all the same. "Were they targeting us?" Marco asked and I turned towards him. That thought hadn't even crossed my mind. "It's common knowledge that only we deal there. If this was a planned raid-." He broke off and chose his next words carefully: "Was this just a coincidence or not?" I shuddered at that possibility. Georgino said: "I don't know yet. But I have a plan to find out for sure tomorrow." "How?" "If this was a random raid we will be fine dealing in a club we don't frequent. If it wasn't-. Well, we will find out on Saturday if someone is talking." I scratched the back of my neck. "You want to use us as bait?" Georgino gave me an apologetic smile. "I don't want to involve another soldier group. There is no need to start a panic until we have the facts." I sometimes forgot that I had fallen in love with my mafia family's future king and boss.

We spent another hour going over the details. The gist of it was: if you see police you run like hell. Georgino would come with us. Making a possible targeted attack even more tempting. I was pretty sure not even Alonzo knew about this operation or he would have vetoed that idea. After the meeting we went back into our respective rooms to sleep as long as possible. We were going to be up all night.

I was first down by the entry. The others were still somewhere in the house getting ready. Georgino walked down the stairs and I took him in. His club outfit was my third favourite look on him. Second was 'just woke up' and first when he wasn't wearing anything. I shook my head slightly to stop my thoughts drifting further away. He had his shirt not buttoned up all the way. He swaggered over to me and I swallowed when he stopped way too close to me. "Can you help me with the buttons?" I stared at his chest peeking out. He grinned when I buttoned him up, his eyes never leaving mine. "You are a shameless flirt." I murmured and let my hands rest on his chest. I started to blush when he leaned in so our lips were nearly touching. "Want me to stop?" I felt hot. "No." I heard myself say, not even realizing I had answered him. He hummed but before I could feel his lips on mine Cassio was standing in front of us. Where the hell had he come from? Georgino straightened cleared his throat. Cassio's eyes were going from me to Georgino and back. "Are you ready?" I asked to fill the weird silence. Cassio nodded his head, still starring at Georgino. I couldn't place whether he was disgusted or simply confused. "Can someone please do something about Mario and Marco? There hot and cold war is getting on my nerves." Sandrino joined us. "Are they fighting?" Georgino asked and we all nodded. "Unfortunately." Before we could tell him more the two came down the stairs. Mario was already glaring at everyone around him and Marco wore the kind of smirk that told me he was the reason why. "We will take two cars." Marco announced and we followed. Mario grabbed my arm and pulled me to his car. Georgino followed me and the rest went with Marco. "You think Marco met that girl in this club?" He whispered when we started driving. "Who?" "The girl he went on a date with." He clarified and I groaned. "Just talk to him." "I already did." "Yelling at him doesn't count." He rolled his eyes. "You don't get it." Georgino followed our conversation with interest. Mario noticed. "Don't you have enough drama in your own life? Why are you listening in on mine?" "Mario!" I said in a warning tone. He was still our boss and someone I loved. "What?!" I rubbed my face, not in the mood to give him any more reason to be angry. "Just drive."

Moonlight was Georgino's club. He had opened it three years ago and done it all by himself. I remember how excited he had been whenever he told me about his plans for the club. We had had great sex in his office. I looked at him from the side of my eye. He was already staring at me and by the sultry gleam in his eyes he was thinking about the same thing as me. 'Ugh, get it together.' I scolded myself. We did business as usual. After a few hours I took a break and found a quiet dark corner to close my eyes for a second. The bass of the music was beating through my body and I smiled. Being a drug dealer wasn't even that bad. I felt someone looming over me and I opened my eyes. Georgino wore a boyish smile. "You look really hot tonight." He played with the chain around my throat. He pressed closer so I was leaning against the wall. "Did you forgive me yet?" He whispered and grazed my ear with his lips. "Because if you have we could have a lot of fun tonight." My eyelashes fluttered. He added: "It's dark enough." My smile fell and I slapped his hand away. Whatever arousal I just felt had shrivelled up and died. "Really? It's dark enough?" I echoed and pushed him. He stumbled a bit. "How about you think of a better reason to kiss me than 'It's dark enough so no one can see my shame of kissing a guy!'" Georgino opened his mouth but I had already stormed off. Fucking asshole! I rubbed my chest and bit my lip to stop it from quivering. Before I could go back to selling or drinking I was grabbed and turned around. "Let go!" I demanded but Georgino only drew me closer to him. "I'm sorry." He said quietly. "I'm sorry." I was desperately trying to blink away tears. He burrowed his nose in my neck and caressed my back. And because I was weak I put my arms around him too. "I love you." He kissed his way up to my lips. He slid his hands around my cheeks and gently pressed his lips against mine. "Georgino." I murmured but he kept kissing me, not willing to let go of me. I was hyperaware of every curve of his body pressing into mine, pulling me a bit higher so he could kiss me deeper. I burrowed my nails in his back and he let out a small gasp before his lips were on mine again, moving harder and more desperate. "Please." I begged, not sure for what. But he knew what I wanted even if I didn't. One of his hands went to the small of my back, stroking that one spot that made my back arch, pressing closer into him. I moaned and Georgino's tongue slipped into my mouth, flicking against the roof. I grind against him harder, wanting him to let go of that last reign he had on his self-control. To devour me in the middle of the dance floor. I nearly wept when he broke of our kiss, but he started sucking on my throat in a second. I moaned, pressing his head closer. I was breathing hard but I'd rather die than stop this. My lips were swollen. Georgino licked a trail back up to my jaw. His breath on my wet skin tingled. He lightly bit me, his teeth grazing my skin and I whimpered. I sneaked a hand under his shirt, feeling his muscles flex where I touched him. He groaned and kissed me even deeper than before. Suddenly someone pushed into me, making me stumble out of his grasp. Mario was looking at me with raised eyebrows, his face tight. "Oh good, you aren't busy. I thought you guys wanted to know that Sandrino was just arrested." I panted, my head having trouble understanding. "What?" Mario rolled his eyes. Georgino grabbed my hand and motioned Mario to lead the way. My jeans were too tight and felt uncomfortable.

We were outside the club where Marco was already waiting. He took one look at me and shook his head. "Really? You two were supposed to look for cops." He spat and I looked away in shame. "I'm sorry." "It wasn't his fault." Georgino said and Marco narrowed his eyes. "No, I don't think it was Matteo's fault at all that you practically touched his brain with your tongue." I cringed at the sarcastic tone. "You saw?" "You were kissing in the middle of the dance floor. The better question is who didn't see." Georgino froze and let go of my hand. I felt like throwing myself to his feet. Don't shove me in the shadows again. Don't hide me. But I didn't say any of that, instead I walked over to Mario. "Did Cassio get arrested too?" "No. The brat has run off before they arrested Sandrino. He can find his way back home alone." Mario and I took his car to drive to the police station. Georgino didn't try to follow me. "I thought you weren't ready to forgive him?" Mario asked but I kept staring out the window. Not wanting him to see the tears threatening to fall. "He hid me again." I said and nearly broke out in sobs. "He kissed you in front of the whole club. He has never done that before." Mario tried to console me but I just shook my head. "At the end of the night I was still his dirty secret. He should just be with Rose if he can't even hold my hand in front of two people that already now that he is fucking gay!" I yelled the last part and hit the dashboard. We were quiet after that. I wanted to punch myself. Why did I think it would be different. He had Rose now to play house in front of his father and the rest of the family. Why would he want to be with me publicly?
