Chapter 3 - „What if she says 'No'?"

Dream
„Lizzie why are we here?", I asked.

Lizzie smirked and gave me her hand.

„Hope come with me. Believe me. It's worth it...", she says.

I gave her my hand and we went together to a room. I looked at the room, but it was empty except for one thing. A dark shadow came towards us. At first I didn't recognize the shadow, but the closer the dark shadow came to us, the quicker I realized it was Josie.

„Jo, is that you?", I asked.

I realized that my voice got softer. I looked at her and she stood in front of us.

„Hope? I..."

Dream ends
I got confused, but I was also scared, because someone was about to get into my room. Suddenly I ran to the painting and turned it around. The door opened and it was Lizzie who came up to me with a letter in her hand.

„Lizzie Saltzman? Can you please try to knock on my door? I could've been naked".

Lizzie laughed: „Hope, calm down. You know, that I will never do this and it's not like that I don't know how a woman looks like under her clothes."

Did she really? Well she probably knows how her twin sister looks like. Wait what did I just thought? I tried to keep it cool and looked at the letter.

„From who is the letter?"

She gave the letter to me.

„It's for you. There was my name on the letter, but it's for you. I think she wanted to be on the safe side and wrote my name on it instead of yours".

I didn't know what to say and blushed a little bit.

„Have you read the letter?"

Lizzie nodded.

I took the letter and opened it. When I saw Josie's handwriting, I didn't know what to say at the moment and raised an eyebrow.

„I'll leave you alone for a moment, okay?", she says.

Lizzie went out of my room and closed my door. She never did that, unless it's important. I took the letter, made myself comfortable in my bed and started to read the letter from Josie.

'Dear Hope,
I don't know where to start. My start at my new school was a little bit frightening and chaotic, but you know me. I did good and I'm fully happy now, but sometimes it feels like that a part of my body and my brain says that there is this big hole in my heart. Maybe it wants to say that Lizzie needs to visit me as soon as possible. I also hope that you haven't killed her yet. I know that we all wanted to do this at least once in our life, but I know deep down you like her. What I'm trying to say is, that my brain probably wants to say, that I also miss the school, the lessons... the teacher..'

Flashback
I knocked on Josie's and Lizzie's door and after a few seconds I came in.

„Uh hi. Can I talk to Josie for a sec?"

I saw that Lizzie turned around and looked at Josie. Josie nodded and Lizzie stood up.

„I'll go and get some Ice", she says while leaving the room and closing the door behind us.

I went to Josie's bed and stopped before her bed.

„How are you feeling?", I asked.

„Used, but I'm glad you're okay", she says.

I smiled a little: „Are you okay?"

„Yeah. Yeah, I'm just a little drained".

„Yeah, I know the feeling", I replied.
