Everyone knows what happened when these two had to fight one another during the chunin exams. Temari won the fight effortlessly. Ever since that fight, Tenten could only ever think of training until she could finally have a rematch against her. And what better way than to start with the basics. Tenten started at the very beginning of Kunai throwing. She practiced for days, weeks, and even months. But finally, Tenten was able to throw kunai at any of her targets better than anyone in the leaf village. She could close her eyes and imagine her target and still hit it. The only person who knew about her training was Guy Sensei. He even used himself to help Tenten with target practice. He once placed a leaf behind his foot, and Tenten threw a kunai in the air. The kunai hit the leaf, which wasn't even a full inch away from Guy Sensei's foot.

Yes, Tenten's kunai throwing was now officially perfected, but she wouldn't beat Temari like this. She needed to master every throwing weapon in her arsenal. The Kunai took months, but mastering every throwing weapon she had, that took a little over a year. She was even able to put her skills to good use on some of her missions. But there was one thing she wanted to master before her 16th birthday. It was her own little special move, one she used as inspiration from Temari. As far as she was concerned, she had a few months to perfect it. But a lot can still happen in a few months.

Tenten woke early like usual and got ready for her private training. The sun was just starting to rise, so she went to the ramen guy who was, for some reason, always open. "The usual?" Tenten nodded her head, clearly still tired. After a few minutes of waiting, the ramen guy came back with ramen and what looked like some kind of herb. "Eat this, you'll feel less tired after." Tenten ate her food as well as the herb. As she was about to pay, "Don't worry about paying. It's on the house." Tenten thanked the Ramen guy and left the village hidden in the leaf.

After a lot of walking, Tenten arrived at her destination. She was on top of a waterfall with giant trees not too far behind her. Tenten then set her training supplies down and walked on the water flowing towards the waterfall. From there, she started doing a less extreme version of Lee's daily exercise routine. Instead of 10 sets of 100 or a superset of 1 set of 1000, Tenten preferred 3 sets of 10 for push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. What made this more than difficult was that she was working both her body and her chakra since she was doing this on water.

When she was done warming up, she went to her training supplies to retrieve a bag that contained two of every weapon she owned. She then grabbed two scrolls and left the rest of her supplies. She then went back towards the giant trees by the waterfall. Their were a few tree stumps that were reminders of Tenten not being able to perfect a jutsu she came up with. Tenten approached a stump next to her next tree target and set her weapons down. Tenten then pulled out her two scrolls and focused. She then sprinted up the tree with both scrolls in her hands. She then jumped off the tree as she yelled, "Rising Twin Dragons!"

Her words helped her mind imagine how the jutsu worked and what it should look like. The air around her started to both turn her as well as lift her. From her scrolls, the weapons that were once lying on the stump were substituted with air and were now following Tenten by the scrolls. The weapons, as well as the air around her, began to take form. The two dragons made of both air and her weapons were by her sides as they followed her command. The two dragons roared at the tree target as they rushed towards it, sending pressurized air into it as well as their bodies.

Tenten's jutsu was now complete, or so she thought. The tree was cut to shreds, only leaving behind a few branches, sticks, chunks, and the stump. Tenten was so excited until she looked at where her weapons were before the jutsu. It was one of her kunai. Tenten considered this to be an absolute fail. Just one of her weapons not being a part of her jutsu means this was an imperfect jutsu. Tenten sighed as she closed her scrolls and went back to her training supplies. She pulled out a different scroll and opened it. She took one of her kunai and pricked her thumb. She put the blood on the scroll, and less than a second later, all the weapons she brought with her were coming from the scroll. After regaining her mental strength, Tenten tried her jutsu again, and again, and again... and again.
