He wanted the kiss to linger like a tattoo, but after that August night, it felt like devil's burn....
"Sir, do you have an idea why I pulled you over?" - She spoke to the man who was in the car. Pretty nice one, she would think to herself. A Ferrari LaFerrari... Great taste for a man. But the man himself didn't look bad at all. "You tell me." - He responded with a smile on his face but his tone sounded arrogant enough to start pissing her off even more.
The day was tiring for Elena and she didn't plan on pulling over someone, this early in her night shift. "You were going over a speed limit." - She informed as he nodded with acknowledgement. "Well, I'm sorry. What else can I say?" - He sounded confused and she wanted to get this over with as soon as she can.
"Can you give me your ID and documents?" - She asked as she turned on the flashlight in her hand. It was past midnight and there was almost not a single soul on the streets of Miami. Once busy city, had its energy shut down for this time of the night. But it sure will be full for the following racing weekend here in this very city.
She observed his documents as she looked from his ID up to him as he looked all around his car. Anywhere but in her eyes. "Can you step out of the car?" - The man had been suspicious to her ever since she pulled him over. Like he had been drinking. She moved away so he could open the doors and get out. There was no doubt he had few drinks once he stumbled and held himself close to the car.
"Sir, have you been drinking?" - She asked being straight forwards as his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Maybe..." - He smiled. "Okay, walk over the straight white line please." - She asked of him as he searched around before he found white line on the road. He started walking keeping his hands up in attempt to keep himself focused and stabilized while she watched him miss almost every step.
"Alright. Come with me." - She showed him to follow her to her car as she opened the trunk of it and pulled alcotest out of a box. "Everything alright back there?" - Her colleague asked from passenger's seat as she showed him thumbs up. He was an older guy who she looked up to and whenever they were together on a duty, she would do most of the job to give him time to rest. He was like a father to her and she would do anything for him.
"Do you know how this works?" - She asked him as he shook his head. "Teach me, Miss." - He chuckled as she shrugged off how his dimples showed whenever he would smile. "You just put this part in your mouth and then you blow into it until I say it's enough, okay?" - Elena explained to the man in front of her who she recognized from somewhere but she couldn't remember where. His name, Charles Leclerc, sounded familiar to her.
She held the device close to his mouth just so he doesn't move and she can look on the little screen on it. "Okay, that would be just enough." - Elena took the device back as Charles looked around as she waited for a result.
0.10. Not too bad but it's still dangerous to drive under with it in blood. How did he manage to only drive over speed and not crash into anything besides him? Or at least drive like he was drunk. "Yeah, you have been drinking." - She informed as he looked at her clueless not sure what to do next.
"Sir, I am going to need you to come with us in the station for the night. Do you have anyone to come and pick up your car?" - Elena asked as his face became serious. She would even say he got angry at her words. "I don't need to go anywhere I am well aware of where I am and where I need to be. But police station is not one of those places." - He talked as she got pissed off by him.
"The law is the law. You have been drinking, you can't drive in that state. I am asking you, without force to go in the car and if no one can pick up yours then we'll leave it at nearest parking lot and you can pick it up tomorrow." - She explained increasing her tone a bit but he shook his head in not so pleasant answer.
She quickly took handcuffs from her belt and took his hands behind him, pushing his chest on the police car. "Okay, calm down, calm down." - He softened his tone and she pulled him back opening the doors of the police car and closing them right after he sat in. "Sir, your car will be dropped off in front of this parking lot. But someone will need to pick it up in the morning before we let you go." - She took his keys and sat in driver's seat giving the same keys to her colleague.
"Please, you do it. I am scared I might crash that beauty." - He smiled at her as he got out of the car and walked over to Charles'. She pulled away and drove off to the police station. "Just so you know, I am into handcuffs." - The man behind her in his seat spoke as she looked at him in review mirror.
"Yeah, I've heard that one before." - She whispered under hear breath. "Have you ever been in handcuffs?" - He asked. And she wasn't getting angry or uncomfortable. She understood he was drunk after all. "No." - She simply answered.
"Would you like to be?" - He smirked, leaning his head beside her, in between of driver's and passenger's seat. "Sir, lean back and enjoy the ride as long as you can." - She warned as he got back in his place. "Sir, I like it." - He smiled as she shook her head. But she couldn't deny he wasn't attractive. Hell, he had looks. But she was at work and she couldn't think that way, not right now at least.
She pulled over in front of the police station as she got out of the car and opened the doors for his seat. She wrapped her hands around his arm and brought him outside with a bit of force. "No need to be harsh, Mon amour. I'll do anything you ask of me." - He flirted as she didn't bother to give him one look as she locked the car and walked in the station with him beside her and his hands in handcuffs.
"I need a room for him. I'll come by later to fill in everything that needs to be filled." - Elena informed her colleague at the desk in front. "Wait, where's Chief Ramon?" - He asks as she stopped, stopping the man beside her. "He's out, parking his car. I need to go and pick him up now." - Elena talked as before she could start walking away, her colleague, James, continued on with the conversation.
"Do you want to switch? I can go pick him up and do a patrol around with him?" - He asked and she thought about it. Yes, her night shift just started but she would rather sit in office and do nothing than drive around for almost whole night. Yes, it was her last shift in this police station as a police officer for Miami department, but she had enough of night patrols. "Yeah sure. I will stay here you can take my patrol." - She smiled at him as James returned. "I am glad I can help." - He stood up as she finally made a move and unlocked one of the rooms.
"Okay, do you have anything on you, phone, keys, etc.?" - Elena asked as they stood in front of the open doors of the room she intended on putting him into. "Why don't you check? I really can't remember what I have on myself." - She saw a little smile on Charles' lips before she pushed him to the wall, his back facing her.
"Spread your legs and hands on the wall." - She demanded as he did as he is told. "Wider legs, please." - She asked again as he took another step, making a gap between his legs. Elena started off with her hands around his torso and crouched down around his legs, and then back up.
She pushed her hands into his back pockets and got nothing but she found a wallet and hotel key card along with some keys. "Okay, get in." - She finished off and saw a smile on his lips as he turned around it face her. "Yes, officer." - He chuckled out as she closed the doors behind him and locked them.
Elena walked back to the table and sat behind it putting his stuff in a box along with his name written on it. But Elena forgot one thing.
