“Mr. Shann, here she is.” he said and put me down on a chair.

I turned my head and looked at the man that had been holding me. He wasn’t Shawn.

“Yes, one of my men can take on the appearance of any person you wanted to see.” Shann said laughing as he saw my face. “Oh gee, what a nice bruise you’ve got there.”

I slapped his hand away as he reached to touch the bruise.

“I’m still not going to let you touch me, Shann.” I glared at him.

“You won’t have a choice. Angel works for me, she’s helped me get all your friends locked up in cells. Do you want to go see them?” he asked as he turned and walked out of the room.

I stayed seated until the man grabbed my arm and pulled me along. We walked through corridors of doors, past windows where people were doing experiments off of still living people. Finally, we reached the lower part of the building holding the cells.

“Crissy Tane, please meet your dear, lovely mother Anny in cell one.” He pressed a button and the walls became windows, everyone I knew was in one. “Followed by my favorite scientist, Wayne in cell two. Shawn, Jessica and Jayke in cell three, four and five. You’re going in cell number six. At least, until you get the execution that is planned for you.”

    “E–execution?!” I stared at him.

“Of course, a murderer doesn’t go unpunished. Especially a murderer who runs away and kidnaps.” He motioned to the man to put me in the cell and closed the glass door. “You can’t teleport, the druids and Fae of our land put their lives into these cells.”

“What about them!” I screamed banging my fists on the glass.

“They’ll be released after witnessing your execution. And they get first seats. Goodnight now. I’ll let the glasses on so you can all talk, in two hours they will be brick walls again and you six will never see each other again.” He pressed some buttons and left.

“Hey, blue-blood, don’t cry. We’ll all get out of here.” I heard Shawn’s voice and looked up to his glass door.

“You will …” I whispered. “I’ll make sure about that.”

“Crissy Tane, wake up.” I heard the voice speak from a distance and I slowly opened my eyes looking at the wall that was brick.

“Show yourself and I might.” I whispered back in a sleepy voice.

The wall turned into glass and the governor stood there with guards all around him. I sat up slowly on the plank they called a bed and watched them. The governor kept his eyes on me as his men worked around him making the glass become a door and coming through. They took my arms and handcuffed me. I didn’t even fight back, I knew they wouldn’t kill me just yet so I let them drag me out, taking a glance to where I knew the other cells were only to see the brick wall. The men held me tight and teleported me into a laboratory. Seemed like the only ways in and out of this place was actually teleportation – no stairs, no elevators, no doors.

The handcuffs were taken off of me and I was stripped from my cloths and laid on an examination table. They tied me down with straps at the arms, feet, forehead and waist. I felt as if they didn’t trust me.

“Why do you seem to take extra measures this time?” I asked.

The governor stared at me in surprise.

“We know you’ll walk away if we don’t.” He said as if obvious.

“With all the people I care about down there; their lives depending on how obedient I am? Come on, I think you’ve got me chained down with your best resources.” I sighed and it made him smile and take off the strap at my waist. I was surprised none of the men had tried anything physical with me lying here, naked.
