AYDEN
I woke up in the hospital bed. I felt weird and sore every where. I don't remember how I get it. I kept opening and closing my eyes to gain my vison but it was a little blurry but I could see. I looked over to see my mom and dad laying on the couch together snuggled up. They looked happy.
I heard the door crack open and in comes Neveah. She the only person that's been here for me because I only told her about what happened. She came closer to the bed and it looked like she been crying.
"What's wrong?" I said raspy my mouth was dry af.
"I thought you were gone" she said crying hugging me but made sure she didn't squeeze too tight.
"You know I'm a gangsta" I said trying to lighten up the mood.
"They caught him" she said and I knew who she was talking about I just nodded. "I know your hurt Ayden. But we gone get through this together. You know you have family who loves you so much and will do anything for you" she said and I nodded
I know she right but this shit is gone fuck with me for the rest of my life, but this is gone hard to get over. Why did this have to happen to me.
"Ayden baby" my mom said as she and my dad walked over to my bed. My mom and dad was crying. I never seen my dad cry before.
"I knew you was gone pull through" my dad said and I slightly smiled as he rubbed my head.
My mom just cried and hugged me.
"I'll go get the doctor" Neveah said as she walked out the room.
"When can I go home?" I asked
"I know you don't like hospitals but we just want you to good before you try to get up out here" my dad said
"Baby I am so sorry for not being there for you. This is all my fault. I'm supposed to be protecting and I failed you. I am so sorry baby" my mom cried
"I just wanna go home" I said not responding to my mom
This is all her fault this happened. I kinda blame both of my parents for breaking up and getting a divorce. My mom wasn't there for me even after I told her I didn't like her boyfriend and he says stuff to me. She didn't believe me. I blame her for all of these.
She should have listened.
Neveah comes back with the doctor.
"How you doing Ayden?" He asked
"A little dry" I said
"Does anything hurt?" He asked again
"I feel like I got hit by a semi truck" I answered and he chuckled
"Good thing it was. Its a good you can feel pain usually when we remove several bullets that person might not be able to walk again. But everything looks good we just waiting on your tests results. For the pain we have medicine for you and after we get some fluids in you for the dry mouth, then you should be good" he said
"When can I go home?" I asked
"In the next few days maybe couple depending on how everything is" he said and I nodded
"Any questions for the parents" he added
"Can I talk to you outside for a minute doctor" my dad said and the doctor nodded.
"Yeah, ummm the nurse should be in there shortly" he said and him and my dad left out.
Now it was me, Neveah and my mom.
