Chapter 8- an awkward encounter

-29th November- 9:00am-

You wake up on the morning to your phone buzzing next to you. Reluctant to get up, you roll over and try to return to your dreams. Realising that you should probably get up before you sleep through the collab, you turn over and reach out for your phone.

Yuto :)

Let me know when you awaken so I know your not dead lol

Excited and internally screaming knowing you get to see and hear your favourite band perform later, and get too meet someone you would consider a good friend, you head downstairs to grab some breakfast and say good morning to Jay. You then head back upstairs and get changed into the outfit you had picked out yesterday. Checking the time again, it was only 9:30, so you decide to watch youtube for a bit.

Deciding you should probably do some background research on Yuto, since all you really know about him is what you had spoken about on call. You learn that, like you, Yu uploaded vlogs and Duelling videos, with him being a member of Yuya's duelling collective which you thought was really cool. 

Checking the time again, It has reached 10:30, so you decide to head out onto the seafront. You grab your pre-packed bag, shout to Jay that you were heading out, and set off on your way. On the way, you stop at your favourite café and ordering (Your favourite drink). Newly equipped, you head to where you where meant to meet Yuto.

You reach the spot at around 10:50, so you decide to put in your headphones and put on your favourite playlist. Watching the early morning sea and breathing the cold, fresh air, you become excited for what the next two days have in store for you. Beginning to get lost in the music, you realise that you should probably get out your camera and start to film the vlog.

"Hey you lot! Today, I have a very special vlog because we're gonna have a guest! For now, before they arrive however, take a look at the early morning sea. Isn't it pretty!"

You film around for a bit, pointing the camera at all the pretty things that you can see before stop the recording for a bit, before walking further down the beach to film a rock pool, trying to find some crabs, or maybe pretty shells to find for the vlog.

After a little while of filming, you are beginning to wonder where Yuto is. That's when you suddenly feel two hands on either of your shoulders.

"Boo!"

You quickly whip around in a slight panic, with the camera still in hand and recording. Looking up, you see the culprit that scared you. The person you had been waiting for, Yuto Sakaki.

"Hi Yuto!" You try to cover up the fact that you were terrified by coming across cheerful and unfazed, but obviously that didn't work.

"I 100% scared you didn't I"

"No...."

You both started laughing and you began to speak to the camera explaining the situation with the meetup for those who didn't know. You and Yu started walking down the beach, chatting and filming whatever you think the vlog will like. Eventually, you reach a place where Yuto starts to make his way up onto the path.

"(Y/N), come up here, I know a good little Café for food!" He calls you up to the promenade (I think that's what it's called-) where he's stood.

"Ok, lemme just film this view for the vlog" you point the camera around making sure to get everything in the shot.

"Is that all you ever care about" obviously joking, you both laugh a little as you got the shot and walked towards him.

You make your way into the café Yuto recommended and realise that you probably shouldn't film in there since there was a few no camera signs. You decide to sit down in a nice little corner, to avoid as many people as possible- hoping that no-one recognises either of you. After a little while, you both decide what you want and order.

After eating, when getting up to leave (Idk how it works in America but in the Uk, you pay when you order at the counter in England. Im from england if you hadnt guessed lmaoo), a girl comes running up to you.

"Oh my god are you The Phantom!" The younger girl sounded excited and in a bit of a daze that her favourite streamer was stood in front of her.

"Yeah I am" Yuto sounded like this had happened a million times a before which it probably had so you didn't question it and just listened to their conversation. 

"Your my comfort streamer!"

"Awh, thats lovely to hear"

"Hey, can I get a picture?, I gotta get back to my girlfriend before she kills me!" The girl passes her phone to Yuto who holders it out for you to take.

"Course! hey (N/N), Will you take it for us?" 

"Yeah, of course!"Not wanting to be rude, you agree but see a slight pang of panic stream across the girls face.

"Oh my gosh, sorry did I interrupt your date or something?!" 

"No, no, we're not together, we're filming a collab vlog so-" 

You didn't understand how Yuto managed to stay so calm in this situation. If it was you confronted with the question, you would have gone so red, you wouldn't have been able to respond. You guessed he was used to it, being a famous streamer and all. He probably had been recognised on a date before and all.

"Ah, right ok, sorry for assuming" she sounded apologetic and upset by her actions even though she'd done nothing wrong and you couldn't leave someone like that.

"Hey, It's fine, its a fair assumption" 

"Anyway, I don't mean to sound rude but I have a girlfriend to get back to so can we please take a photo?" She looked calmer and happier now and you smiled lightly knowing that you'd helped someone out a bit.

"Yeah, of course!"

You take the picture and the fan returns to there they were and you two head on out of the café and back onto the street.

"Hey, you handled that situation pretty well" Yuto smiles down at you gratefully

"It was difficult but I managed"

"you sounded so natural (Y/N)"

"Thanks Yu"
