Chapter 1-Home

-17th October- 2:30pm-

You cautiously step off the plane and finally onto the concrete floor of Heartland City . You had waited so long for this moment, finally moving out. Continuing down into the airport you head into the bustling noise. Beginning to look for Jay, your eyes scower the crowds. There was an insane amount of people rushing around you and you were lucky that you managed to get near to the exit as quick as you did. Rushing outside, bags in tow, you found Jay stood outside looking around aimlessly, not knowing what to do.

"Jay!" No response. He seemed to be slightly zoned out. This was quite typical of him, well what you could remember of him. You decided to try to get his attention again but, this time louder.

"JAY!" Still no response. You know he was just zoned out at this point but he was starting to annoy you. You tried shouting one last time to get his attention.

"JAY (L/N)!" His head snapped up and he began to look around frantically, obviously not realising that it was you stood directly in front of him.

"Huh?! What?!" The panic in his voice makes you laugh a bit when you decide to finally calm him down by speaking again.

"It's me, doofus." You laughed out at your fumbling brother, he seemed to have registered that it was you this time as he ruffled to hop of your hair.

"Well yeah I knew that much!" He laughed out as you roll your eyes and fix your hair from the mess Jay had created.

"Your such an idiot"

"I know, I know, come here" He pulled you into a hug like old times. It was so nice to see him again. As much as you loved your brother, he could be a bit stupid at times. Sometimes you wondered how he could be so stupid yet have not failed any of his exams. He can just sit there and look around aimlessly whilst the thing that he needs is right in front of him.

You both got into his car and made your way down to the flat where Jay lived. When you got there, it was a nice little flat with a small kitchen, a decent sized living room and two small bedrooms. It was cute and decorated tidily with a lot of plants and vines hanging around the place. Jay started to show you around until you reached your room.

As you walked around, you took in the whole atmosphere. Calm and relaxing but fun and lively at the same time. You finally got your room. As you open the door, you see your dream room and immediately gasp and hear Jay chuckle behind you.

"So...? You like it"

"Jay. This is home."

"I'm so glad you like it."

 Jay leaves the room to go on a call with the guy he edits for and you spent the rest of the day sleeping in your new room. Jet lag had really gotten to you. Jay didn't seem mind, he was keeping quite quiet. What troubled you however, was who this duellist actually was. Jay wouldn't tell you and it made you want to know even more. You didn't let it eat you up however and let yourself fall asleep.

You woke up around 3 hours later and checked the time. It was 18:47. Half awake and tired still, you slowly make your way over to Jay's room. You hear a second voice through the door as you hesitantly raise your hand to knock on the door.

"Gimme two seconds Yu, my sisters at my door." You heard Jay say through the wall. "Hey, what's up?"

"Where's the food?" Your voice is slightly grumbly from just waking up but you couldn't really care less. You were incredibly tired but you needed someone to eat.

"Bit blunt" He laughed, you were tired, you don't know what he was expecting. "It's in the kitchen, the door on the left of the living room, you should find stuff in there"

"Thank youuu" 

"No problem" With that, he turned and closed the door speaking to his friend again.

Shuffling your way into the kitchen, you find yourself the stuff to make yourself a snack. You eat and then proceed to sit and watch some TV for a bit. After what only feels like a while- but wasn't- , you notice that its 11pm and so you decide that your going to try and sleep again. Since you were tired still from jet lag, it wasn't that difficult.
