chapter 6- invitation

-28th November-9:30 am-

It was the day before the collab and the chilly winter weather was slowly rolling in. The air was crispy with early winter frost. It was lightly raining outside and you were hoping it stopped before tomorrow. However it would be fun to meet Yuto in the rain. You also knew your camera was waterproof so that wouldn't be an issue. Despite this, you would prefer not to be out in the rain.

You had unfortunately woken up around 5am and after a while of mindlessly scrolling through your phone, decided to put on a comfortable, yet stylish outfit because why not! On a roll, you chose out your outfit for the vlog. A very moody kind of style Yuto would wear so it will fit for the vlog. Jay wasn't quite up yet so you proceeded to sit down at your computer, put on your headphones and call Yuto.

You heard someone pick up the call and say hello directly through the microphone. "Hey Yuto!" 

"Hi (Y/N), what's up?" He sounded like he had just woken up, eve though it was a bit later on in the morning.

"You streaming?" Double checking so that you knew you weren't revealing anything to Chat, you want to speak to Yuto a bit about the collab tomorrow.

"No, I might later but it'll be an irl stream." You let out a small sigh before you continued with what you were speaking.

"Mk, cool. I'm so nervous for tomorrow." 

"Really, why? Yuto is such a chill guy!" He sounds a bit put out but understanding at the same time. This was pretty normal for Tommy so you took both of the emotions as the ones he meant it as.

"I dunno really, its just gonna be strange doing a collab"

"Yeah, I get it. It was wierd when I met Yu in real life for the first time, and we'd been talking for about half a year before that." 

"yeah. It is gonna be strange but exciting I guess."

"You'll be fine, and Jay does a really good job at editing so the duel will be really good, and all your videos are really good, so it'll be fine." The reassurance from Tom was very calming and you felt a lot better about it.

"Thanks Ya, I think I'll go and probs play with Sora for a bit! Enjoy your stream later, I'll be watching"

"Ok, cool. and hey, it's fine, if you ever need to ask anything about will or literally anything ever, im here ok?"

"yeah, thanks. I really appreciate that man"

"Course" You hag up and decide to head into the kitchen and grab something to eat before heading back to your room saying hi to the newly awakened Jay. You then opened up minecraft on your computer and call Sora. You talk for a bit and the topic ends up on your and Yuto's meetup/collab.

"So no-one knows that you A-know ThePhantom and B-are meeting up with him." Sora sounded baffled like you were supposed to say something to your fans.

"other than you, yuya, zuzu, jay and Danny know. I've not put anything on any socials but I might ask Yuto later if I can put something out because my socials are a lot smaller and it would generate a little bit of hype around it."

"That could be good you know, you want people to know where to find the videos when they come out, and it would let people know that it isn't a regular upload."

"yeah makes sense doesn't it really"

"Yeah, well I'm gonna go, my family are going out in like half an hour so"

"Mk, bye Sora!"

"Talk to you later!"

-11am-

You check the time and it's now around 11am. You go into the living room and find Jay and Danny sat watching movies on the sofa. They definitely liked each other but they wouldn't admit it to anyone. 

"Hey (Y/N), what's up?" Danny greets you as you head over to the coffee table to collect the empty glasses on the table.

"Hey Danny. Not much, just nervous for the collab tomorrow. I actually came in to tell Jay I was going out for a walk." You go and put the glasses in the sink and you grab your shoes starting to put them on.

"Thats fine (Y/N), we'll probably still be here when you get back, as long as your not planning on being out until your collab" Jay answers you, looking at you from the sofa.

"You'd really expect me to survive that long without sleeping" 

"Valid, all right well see you later" Danny proceeds to answer for Jay but you don't question it tying your shoes and placing your hand on the door handle.

"All right, bye" 

you walk outside and decide to walk down to the beach. it was peaceful and a little escape sometimes. The peaceful sound of the waves crashing on the shore was like free therapy. The delicate sand was soft and beautiful. The sunlight delicately twinkled on the top of the water. making the scenery perfect.

You sit down on a bench looking out over the sea with a coffee you had gotten from the café across the road.  You have one headphone in and are listening to The Phantoms' RaidRaptor album. After a little while, you decide to call Yuto to ask about whether you could put anything out on your socials.

"Hey (N/N), what's up?" He sounded happy and excited and it made you slightly smile.

"Hi Yu, I just wanted to ask, can I put something out on one of my socials about the collab? My socials are smaller and I want people to be getting at least little bit hyped."

"Sure, and hey, I wanted to ask you what we'll be doing in the vlog."

"Just whatever is going on around for a bit and then we could come down onto the beach. I don't know, just film random stuff from the day like I usually do for my vlogs. We can just have a fun day out and we do literally whatever."

"ah yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I completely forgot that I have one final practice with my band before we start out tour in December, but its at like 8pm tomorrow." 

"Oh, right ok so we could film the duel at about 5 then and I'll get out your way."

"No, no that's not what I meant. I was about to say, do you want to stick around during our band practice, it's fine if you dont want to but I was wondering if you did because you seem to be a fan and it could be pretty fun. You could also stay the night if you want."

"Are you sure, I wouldn't want to be a nuisance." You were starting to get excited, meeting your best friend and your favourite band in the same day?! Amazing!

"I wouldn't have said if I wasn't ok with it. It's completely fine and we could have more time to film, you could have two days of the vlog and you could have Phantoms content"

"Thank you so much Yu!"

"Hey, no problem, I'm looking forward to it!"

"Same, I cant wait!"

"Welp, im gonna go, I'll see you tomorrow (N/N)"

"See you tomorrow Yuto!"
