Loki was immensely glad that he had chosen to dress in clean clothes in the bathing room after he'd freshened up instead of leaving the clean clothes in the bedroom. When he came back into the bedroom, there was a Starklet sitting on the bed with two plates of food and a swishing tail. He didn't think she would have appreciated a fully nude Jotun-shaped Jotun coming into the room. Well, she might have, but her father would kill him even more had that happened. He was already on borrowed time, best not to tempt fate even more.
At Morgan's gesture, Loki carefully joined her on the bed, sitting cross-legged across from her, the food between them. Loki's blue tail swished for balance, then settled, nearly wrapped around him when he settled. Morgan was watching him. She wasn't at all unnerved by his appearance, or by his horns or tail. "We both have tails now..." she commented, and unthinkingly reached out to carefully touch his, caressing the soft cold blue skin. It had seemed like an excellent idea to her groggy brain.
At least, it had seemed like an excellent idea until Loki yelped in surprise and actually fell off the narrow bed onto the floor, nearly taking all of the food with him. He landed with a heavy thud.
Morgan squeaked and leaned over the bed to look at the fwumped Loki. "Loki??" Her fox ears flicked in concern. She didn't dare move more, unsure what had caused him falling and unsure if he was ok. Loki groaned softly, more embarrassed than anything and gave her a thumbs up from his spot on the floor. "Is there a particular reason you fell off the bed?" Morgan asked him dryly.
"You startled me when you touched my tail," Loki explained, choosing his words carefully and praying he wasn't blushing purple. "It's extremely sensitive, even more so than my horns." He kept to the facts, keeping his eyes off of her face as he carefully stood again, using the mattress for support. He hadn't been able to help noticing how attractive he found her with her newly pointed ears and kitsune features.
"Oh. Sorry. Not quite awake yet!" Morgan blustered excuses. She hadn't been thinking. She'd been awake enough to microwave something to eat, but otherwise was pretty brain-dead still. She would try to remember not to touch his tail in the future. Though she knew it would be tempting.
Loki chuckled, mirth lighting his eyes as he carefully took his seat again. "You just underwent a massive healing spell. I'm impressed that you're even awake right now." He reminded her. It was amazing that she'd woken so soon.
"You said I'd be hyper," she reminded him, her tail swishing. She really was trying to figure everything out and reminded Loki of a kitten plotting how best to pounce on a hoppy bug.
Loki inclined his head, acknowledging her words. "I did say that. The healing stone was overdose of healing magic for a Midgardian, not enough to harm you, but enough to overstimulate. However, since you aren't entirely human, the overstimulation activated your magic for real." His voice took on a professor quality while he spoke. He was clearly used to giving lectures on magical concepts back on Asgard.
Morgan tilted her head adorably and her fox ears flicked again. She was definitely trying to figure things out with her Stark brain. Loki adored her for her intelligence and acceptance. "Activated my magic?"
"You hadn't grown into your powers yet, but when I healed you, it was the final boost your powers needed to activate and for you to transform. And you look gorgeous!" That last part wasn't entirely necessary for him to say, but they were practically of an age and it was true.
Even if it made both of them blush.
"You'll have to explain that in more detail while we eat," she informed him, trying to draw the focus back on the task at hand. One thing at a time. Food. Food was necessary. And was right on the bed between them.
