Loki watched Munin go. Only when she was safely off, did he turn his attention back to the others. There were still things he needed to attend to. He needed to talk to Stark, much as he didn't want to. He'd much rather spend the evening cuddling a certain kit instead. But that wasn't going to happen and ensuring the kit's safety was a higher priority, so talking to Stark had to happen. The team had given him space to see Munin off and Morgan was sitting at the table, talking with her family and taking silly pictures of the team. Loki fought back a sigh at the task ahead of him and approached, his expression serious. "Stark, may I have a word with you?"
Stark nodded and got to his feet. If he was shocked at being asked the question, he didn't show it. He seemed to be expecting some kind of conversation with the god, though what that conversation would be... He kissed Morgan's hair before he went with Loki. The pair headed to a private room while Morgan watched them leave, looking concerned that one of them wouldn't be coming back alive from the conversation.
"I confess, I don't do this often, so forgive the suddenness and my bluntness," Loki started the conversation as soon as they were alone. It was no secret that he and Stark didn't get along and generally didn't see eye to eye. However, on this topic, he figured they could agree. "I think we should have Lady Morgan take her lessons here until we take her mother out of the equation. She ambushed us too easily at the school, and if she were to try again, it would endanger the other students as well, and even you can't deal with that many lawsuits at once."
Stark nodded his agreement. "I already talked to the school. Morgan's already set up have her schooling here for the forseeable future. I can't say she's particularly pleased with the development, but she's no more upset with this solution than any of the others," he sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose "She'll likely just test out of the rest of the year, which wasn't what I wanted for her. I wanted her to have a normal school experience, unlike what I grew up with. I should've just let her do the genius thing too. Would've saved us the headache now." He shook his head. "But that's neither here nor there,"
"The good thing is that she'll be safe here from her mother," Loki replied. "I'm also requesting for my guardian Munin to stay with us for a couple of weeks to help us out."
"That seems like a good idea," Stark couldn't disagree that a famed valkyrie of Asgard helping protect his daughter was a good thing.
Loki nodded, noting that it was starting to get awkward between them. It was probably the longest the pair had been together in a room without a buffer. Stark noted it too and headed back to dote on his daughter, grateful that she was safe.
Loki stayed back to take a breather. That could have gone so much worse.
Morgan eventually came to find him. "C'mon, Lokes. It's movie night!" She bounced into the room and smiled up at him, noting his mood and trying to cheer him up.
Loki looked down at her. "I'm coming, witchling," he said warmly.
Morgan took his hand to drag him into the common room where the team was setting up the movie and snacks. "You probably won't like tonight's movie, but we all have to watch it," she warned before she started dragging him. She wanted him to be prepared. Properly prepared.
Loki paused and hesitated, his shields going back up. "What movie?" He asked warily, nervously. What movie could they possibly have to watch? He didn't doubt her, especially if she was giving him a warning ahead of time.
"The Avengers movie. It's about the battle of New York. The studio wants our approval before they release it to the public," she explained.
Loki winced and pulled back. "Oh Norns..." He absolutely did not want to relive that nightmare. He'd lived through it once already.
