After Morgan left to test out of the rest of her studies, Munin started looking over the tower's security. She didn't want to do it while Morgan was around and scare the girl even more than she already was. Loki showed her his wards and he and Stark showed her the technology that was involved in the tower's security. She got to work adding her own magic to Loki's, increasing the shielding and defenses on the tower. It was important to add as much strength to their defenses as possible in order to keep a divine level kitsune out.
"Divine level kitsune are sneaky. Are any of the men here weak enough to be seduced?" Munin asked as she worked on her shields. Her eyes glowed with magic and it glowed around her hands as she cast her shield spells. Thankfully, the residents of the tower were used to seeing magic by then and weren't phased.
"Stark was, but he changed when Lady Morgan entered his life," Loki replied. He was keeping watch to make sure that Munin wasn't interrupted while she worked.
Munin nodded, continuing her work, "none of the others who could invite her in?" Loki shook his head. Munin sighed in relief, "good,"

Things were quiet for the rest of the day. It was in the wee hours of the morning when only early birds like Lokis were awake when strange things tended to occur. Which was why Lokis tended to be awake as such hours in the first place.
Loki was up early reading in his room when a scuffling noise from the hallway got his attention. The tower was quiet at that time of night. No one should have been scuffling around, except for perhaps Stark going to bed, but he wouldn't have been on Loki's floor.
Loki closed his book and started to summon one of his daggers, thinking there might be trouble, when a groggy little kit came shuffling into his room in her pajamas. She was clearly only half-awake at best and looked dazed. There was something off about her. It wasn't a fever, but felt similar to it. She shuffled over to him, clearly having been seeking him out and crawled onto his lap.
Loki wrapped his arms around her and cuddled her close. "Well, hello there," he greeted her gently, keeping his voice soft so he didn't startle her and wake her the rest of the way. There was no reason to startle her or upset her more than whatever this was.
Now what she was in his arms he felt it and understood. Her power was flaring, getting ready to grow as she was coming of age. It felt like a fever under her skin. She sought him out as the most magical being in the tower to keep her safe when it did.
Loki snuggled her close and kissed her temple, making her purr softly. "So tired..." she murmured, her voice a pathetic mew.
"Go ahead and rest, kit," Loki said warmly. "You're safe with me."
"Safe," she agreed and nuzzled him before she settled more comfortably in his arms to doze off. Loki held her securely against his chest and kissed her forehead. He held her safe in his arms while she rested and let his temperature drop a little to keep her from overheating from her magic spiking.
Morgan purred and dozed in his arms. At the time of her birthday, when she came of age, her power flared again, making her glow brightly as two more fox tails appeared, one on either side of the first one she already had. Loki watched in shock. "Holy shit..." he murmured.
Morgan mewed and blinked her eyes open. "That doesn't sound good," she commented, her voice scolding him for the curse.
"Darling, you have three tails," Loki informed her, his voice still full of his shock at her jumping power levels so quickly.
Morgan blinked groggily and looked as her tails swished. "Two more tails??"
"You just jumped up two power levels, kit." He still held her safe in his arms, but loosened his grip enough that she was able to see.
"That doesn't seem possible,"
"It doesn't, but it happened,"
"How?" she asked, expecting him to know about magic things
"Your magic is growing, Darling," Loki said softly. "I need to hurry up and start teaching you before your magic goes out of control."
Morgan nodded "That sounds like a really good idea," she agreed. They most definitely didn't need any wayward magic blowing up the tower.
