That's Kat in the media.
She is literally my goals.
Dedicated to @Katibug0527 because I wrote this chapter for her for entertainment since her injury.
Aye enjoy!

Kat turned towards me and her expression changed from happiness to confusion.
I grinned at her and stood up, arms outstretched. "It's me, Kat. Don't you recognize your best friend?"
Suddenly, her eyes widened in realization. "No way...
"OHMYGOD NAT!" She ran the short distance to my outstretched arms and threw herself at me, giving me a huge hug. "I can't believe-ohmigosh there's no way." She said, pulling away from me. Her beautiful brown eyes shimmered as she looked at me excitedly. "How did you do it?!"
I grinned at her and jerked my head over at Zach. "A lot happened and that kid helped me through it."
He grinned and walked over to us, putting his arms around the two of us. "It was no big deal. She totally did the work herself."
Kat looked up at him and looked back at me, her eyes welling up. "I'm so happy for you, Nat." She smiled. "I mean, you were gorgeous either way of course but I know how you felt about it..." She quickly added on, trailing off at the end.
I shrugged. "The past is the past. Which I really have to fill you in on."
She nodded in understanding. "As long as you're happy, I am too."
The 3 of us stood in silence for a couple of moments before Zach dropped his arms to his side. "Come on, guys. The table is waiting for us." He said.
I grabbed Kat's hand and led her over to the table. "I saved a spot for you next to us."
We settled down in our seats and the rest welcomed Kat back.
Kat looked around and noticed the missing six. "Where are Chloe and-"
"They're not sitting here anymore." Zach said blatantly, not even looking at her as he drank his soda.
She looked at me, eyes searching mine for an explanation. I summarized for her what had happened and Kat rolled her eyes, irritated by Chloe's remarks. "She just kissed her spot on the cheer squad goodbye." Kat said firmly.

The rest of lunch and classes were good. Kat and I shared all classes except for an elective and science, since she was oriented towards business and law but I was steering towards the medical field.
Kat had cheer practice right after school so she rushed over to the field house as soon as our last period was over. Zach and I walked through the main doors, heading towards his car.
"Aye guys! Wait up!" I heard Henry yell. I looked back and saw him jog up to us. I tugged on Zach's sleeve to get him to stop.
He slowed to a stop in front of us, his piercing green eyes stunning in the blazing sun. "The guys are heading over to the field to throw around a ball or run through some drills. Wondering if you guys would like to come?"
Zach nodded. "Alright, we'll tag along. Nat, go with Henry to the field. I have to drive my car a little closer."
I looked over at Henry and he smiled reassuringly. "Okay, see you in a bit."
Zach grinned and jogged over to his car.
Henry and I began the walk to the field ahead. I ran a hand through my hair and moved it to one shoulder.
