Ephemeral

The time you made that ever lasting eye contact,
I felt something that we had.
Those eyes were glowing but seeking comfort,
And, your charming smile you passed with a lot of effort.

I wanted you to break down,
Describe your misery, in our favourite place of the town.
I wanted to relieve your stress,
Help you get out of the mess.

You never opened up, I never asked.
Time flew so fast.
Now I realized it was a love of Ephemeral,
We failed to carve it like a jewel.
