We grew old

Prompt idea by footnoteofhappiness

Our once vibrant youth skin, now etched with lines,
Those eyes that gleamed once, now give no signs.
We grow weak each passing dawn,
As we tell the tales sitting in the lawn.

Our hair once lustrous, now with a silver thread.
Like whispers of wisdom we have spread.
Our bones once strong, now weak and broken,
That once set the hardwork into motion.

In the loneliness we sit alone,
Wondering where the good times are gone?
Accepting avoidance we survive,
In the lake of good days we dive.

Ageing is a part of life, a process to enjoy,
Don't let it shatter you and destroy,
Instead Smile at the miracles life showed you,
And accept the changes it offered all new.
