Abrariel
The room's light fell to midnight darkness, waking Abrariel. The sun had set below Heaven's thick bed of clouds, letting the moon rise and the stars glow as the Midnight Angels got to work.
Abrariel idly wondered what Michael was going to do tonight. Probably roam the city with his older brother, Raphael, raiding comic bookstores and service stations; he used to enjoy doing the same. He loved leaving the Humans confused.
Unlike everyone else in his Tribe, Abrariel would only drink from Humans if times were lean or he was desperate, he never gave into peer pressure, which Michael said was one of the reasons he loved him. Abrariel was as true as a shot arrow, never wavering from what he believed was right and good.
Abrariel missed his mate desperately. It felt like he was being torn apart. Three more months before I can see him again, he thought. He looked at his swollen belly and placed a hand on it, feeling the baby kick. And you can meet your father.
He got out of bed and headed across his dark room and out into the hall to the kitchen. To his surprise, Jorden was there with Raziel, they seemed happy, more happy then normal. Jorden was embracing Raziel tightly and kissing him full on the lips. Raziel spotted Abrariel and waved, breaking away from Jorden.
"Abrariel, guess what?" Raziel asked as Jorden turned and beamed, his eyes alight with joy.
"What?" Abrariel asked, feeling a little confused and overwhelmed. What was happening?
"We're getting married!" Raziel exclaimed, beaming all over, "Jorden and I are getting married!"
Abrariel felt a surge of happiness for them. He hugged them warmly. "I'm so happy for you!" He exclaimed.
Jorden smiled at him. "I'm moving in," he announced, his voice cheerful. "So, you'll be seeing me every day."
Abrariel raised an eyebrow. "Won't people find out about you two if you get married?" He asked, recalling what Jorden had told him. It was forbidden for a Main Angel to mate with another breed of Angel.
Raziel shrugged. "Not if we're careful about where we show affection," he said, his eyes sparkling.
Abrariel smiled softly. "Are you two going to start a family?" he asked, glancing at his own belly.
Jorden shook his head. "Maybe in a few years," he said, his tone gentle. "A new baby is already due in a few months, we don't need another one right away," he said, touching Abrariel's shoulder.
"And anyway, we already have a family. You and Telantes are our children, your baby our grandchild, it is already a full house," Raziel murmured as he took Jorden's hand gently. "Besides, Jorden has said he isn't eager to be pregnant, so we're going to find out if I can still have kids," he added carefully, his tone was soft but there was a hint of worry in there.
"You wouldn't be able to?" Abrariel asked, tilting his head.
"We don't know. The poison that Mina injected into my womb could have done more than just kill our son," Raziel said gently.
Abrariel felt disheartened for his father, remembering the story he had told him. "I'm sorry to hear that," he said, "but I'm happy that you two are getting married, I really am," he added as he headed to the fridge to get some breakfast.

Raziel handed Abrariel a heavy bag of gold before Abrariel headed out. "Use that to buy a crib," Raziel murmured with a smile.
"Ok, I will, thanks Father," Abrariel gave Raziel a hug before he stepped out the door and into the starlit night.
Abrariel had always liked the walk to Heaven's Town. It was calm, clear, and peaceful. But tonight however, it was not so peaceful. Three Angels appeared on the path ahead of him, their wings were spread out to form a wall of grey and white feathers.
