━━━━ warriors, also known as warrior cats, is a series of novels based on the adventures and drama of multiple clans of feral cats, set in fictional forests. the series is written by a number of authors, under the pseudonym of "erin hunter".
the warriors fandom is massive, with a large range of talented individuals who sculpt magnificent work. the fandom is known for a wide range of videos on youtube — amv's, pmv's, map's and animatics — and all centre around the books or original characters.
there's a number of aspiring writers who conjure up stories and alternative universes about the series, and again, original characters. there's hundreds and hundreds of stories related to the fandom that can be found on multiple platforms, wattpad included.
and of course, we can't forget the roleplayers.
the warriors universe centres around the groups who reside in a forest, who later shift locations to a lake. they are split into five clans; thunderclan, windclan, shadowclan, riverclan and skyclan — and each clan has adapted to their own terrain.
relationships between different clans are usually tense and they often come with conflict with one another. however, they also show some concern for each other: the idea of one clan being destroyed usually causes deep distress and urges the clans to act on the behalf of all clans, and aid their peers.
all of the clans have a unique naming and hierarchy system, in that their names are determined by clan rank.
the clans have a faith system, of sort, based on the concept of starclan: a group of spirits of the clans' deceased ancestors, who often provide guidance to those that are living through dreams, signs and omens. after death, the spirits of most clan cats join starclan and they reside in a paradise—like forest similar to 'heaven'.
and, in addition to starclan, there is the dark forest: also known as the place of no stars, which takes the form of a never—ending forest. the spirits of those who caused great pain and suffering to others while alive are sent there as a form of punishment.
outside of the clans, are three categories: kittypets, loners and rogues. kittypets are house—cats who are looked down upon for their cozy and lazy lifestyle; loners are cats who live outside of the clans; and rogues are cats who live on their own and intend to harm the clans.
in some instances, stray cats may form large groups of their own. it's considered rare for an outsider, such as a rogue or loner, to join a clan, as they're generally distrusted and scorned by the clans.
━━━━ there's currently eight sub—series, each containing six books. other books have been released in addition to the main series — including lengthier 'super edition' novels, novellas, guide books, and a number of manga books.
