this won't be part of the main story for a while, but i wanted to create a little storyline for anathema, maggie, nina, muriel and newt. they're cuties and i was a bit disappointed anathema and newt weren't even mentioned in s2. also, i just can.

The four of them did not tone down their drinking after Aziraphale had found them.
Anathema originally planned to simply fulfil her part of the prophecy while visiting Soho, but she also figured staying and drinking for a bit can't hurt. Especially now that she's found more people with similar experiences.
They must've fallen asleep at some point, because when Anathema woke up, she was lying comfortably snuggled between Nina and Maggie.
Because she was the first to wake up, she chose not to be a dickhead and stayed there silently, enjoying the warmth and quietness in her hungover state.
Despite being hungover with a pretty nasty headache, Anathema was feeling at peace with herself.
These moments never last, of course, and her quiet bubble of peace and warmth was interrupted by an incoming phone call. And she was the one being called.
Anathema immediately fished it out of her skirt's pocket and turned it silent, sighing in relief when she saw neither Nina and Maggie, still sandwiching her, nor Muriel had woken up from the sound. The witch smiled at the sight of them passed out in the armchair in front of the couch.
When she took the time and saw it was Newt who had called her, she did decide to get up carefully and walk to one of the rooms in the back, calling him back.
"Anathema?" he asked, and, upon hearing his desperate tone, she could picture the exact look on her fiancé's face.
"Newt?" she parroted.
"Very funny. Speaking of. Funny situation. Everybody's kind of... gone? I don't- I don't know. Where are you?"
She sighed, slightly amused. It had been naive of her to assume Newt would know she had to go to Soho for the prophecies, hadn't it?
Thinking about the prophecies made her realise she couldn't think of any regarding her and Newt's further actions.
There were some still about her, some were what she interpreted as ways to handle the Them. She could think of two about Newt, but she didn't understand either. But, to be fair, she had had less time to study those than the ones in Agnes' first book.
She decided to study those regarding the angel and demon more, while more or less ignoring the ones regarding her.
"Right. I'm in Soho. I met some people, like the prophecies told me to. And don't worry about them having left, everything's fine."
There was a beat of silence. Then Anathema heard what could only be interpreted as an unnaturally high-pitched sigh of relief from the other end.
"Alright, thank God. Just call me when you know when you're going to be back, yeah? I love you."
Anathema smiled as she nodded before reminding herself Newt wasn't able to see her.
"I love you, too."
She hung up and walked back into the main shop, noticing that Nina had woken up, stroking through Maggie's hair, who was resting her head on her lap.
"Oh, there you are!" Nina whisper-shouted, gently moving Maggie's head onto a pillow. "Care for some coffee at my shop?"
Anathema nodded, smiling.
They walked outside as quiet as they could manage, glad to see that not many people were awake and roaming the streets yet.
