„We bring our hands to our backs, decide which hand is going to hold the marble, and then you have to guess in which fist the marble is." Esmeray explained to her partner, showing him with her hands and giving him a vivid image of her game.
„Okay." Her opponent swallowed, shakily nodding his head and goes to sit on the bench. She followed after him, and starts this game.
I know this game. And I know that there's barely any chance to cheat, but I'm sure that since she suggested it, she surely has some tricks up her sleeve. Something that's allowed, since they didn't made any rules that they could break.
And by the expression of her, I'm sure she knew that.
She's smart. She's observant, caring and focused. These are the main ingredients to be successful intelligent, and I'm sure that's why she fell into our leader's eye.
She let her arms linger behind her back, her eyes intensely watching his eyes, analyzing on which arm his eyes would stay the longest on. I notice a small yank with her right arm, before she presented both her fists.
He choses her right hand, which revealed nothing. A smirk curled on my lips simultaneously with her own lips curling, before she opens her left hand with the marble in it. Her opponent cursed but obediently gives her one of his ten marbles.
Once it's her turn, her blue eyes don't stay stuck on his body. Instead she lets them linger on his hands, and I think that she turns her focus inside of her, listening to her truthful gut.
She choses his left, and now, he has only eight left.
Of course, she wasn't always that lucky. She lost often, but she also won around the same amount. I can see with her knee slightly shaking, that she grew frustrated once he had two more marbles than her, and he grew extra cocky with that.
„Tringly, would you allow me to take her for a quickie before you kill her?" He chuckled sadistically, using her nickname for us Triangle's as a mockery. My jaw clenched at his plain disrespect.
I'll shoot you before you'll be able to blink, with all marbles or not.
Her nickname was annoying to me at the beginning, but after a time, it was normal for all of the staff that the one crazy girl would never stop creating nicknames for us, even if we would hold her at gunpoint.
But it sounds unfamiliar coming out from someone unlikable, someone that I never took notice of. It's undeniable to not notice someone like Esmeray, and it's also impossible to deny her to call us however she wants to.
I like her voice and how she says our nicknames. It's always so full of happiness and contentment, as if she's relieved to see us.
My eyes drift back to her, even though my eyes never really left her.
