Chapter 12

A Month

My heart sunk and it felt like everything I was had been ripped out. I stopped in my door frame after having wriggled loose from the hug. Every muscle ached and grief filled every part of my being. I feel to my knees unable to stop the sobs. "Jodie," I heard them call worriedly and felt someone wrap their arms around me in a hug. "What happened I heard Owen whisper by my ear. "A-Aiden, h-he's gone. He-he-he's just gone. I don't- I don't know what happened," I stammered. "Shhh," Owen mumbled clearly trying to calm me down, but I just sobbed into his shoulder. I heard Gwen and Ianto walk off to give us space.

I had calmed down sometime later left with nothing, but a deep numb feeling. "Do you remember anything," Owen asked. "All I remember is walking into the doorway where the entities where and then I woke up in some building across from torchwood," I explained wiping my face. "Come on," He said standing up and I got up as well. I was trying to remember anything but my only memories I could recall in detail where of Torchwood. Why can't I remember? We walked to the main room and they sat me down. "What's going on," I asked. "You need to see this," Gwen stated. I noticed Jack was missing, but dismissed it as they played security footage. I saw myself fighting the Entities, but my eyes were glowing a blue white and suddenly everything was surrounded by a, same blue white colored, dome that closed in the center of the room and then exploded sort of like a super Nova. Left in the center was me laying with my clothes torn and bleeding from various spots. I looked at myself now in the same clothes completely untouched. I then saw my own body get up and limp before running out the window as if healing myself. The door was then kicked down and they all looked confused.

"What the hell," I mumbled. "That was a month ago," Ianto said. "It's been a month," I asked looking up at them. "Yeah and after you left so did Jack. He went traveling with the doctor to try and find you. He isn't back yet and we don't know how to contact him," Gwen said. I dragged my hand down my face trying to process this. I remembered waking up in the building and looked up at them confused. "The Doctor was there in the building I woke up in," I said. "Did you see Jack," Ianto asked a spark of hope in his eyes. I shook my head and saw his heart sink. "He did say Jack was traveling with him," I said. My head was pounding and I heard giggling. I looked around and saw kid in the corner of room make the notion of putting a finger to his lips and ran through a wall. Aiden's gone how can I still see them?

"Jodie," Gwen said curiously. "Yeah, sorry I just kinda zoned out," I said. I heard a clattering noise and we all jumped turning to see a girl who had collapsed in a pile of folders. "Heh sorry I guess I set this wrong I'll just.... leave," she said trying to twist the wrist thing. "Damnit Jack! Really you can go back but not forwards," she muttered. "Who the hell are you," Owen asked. She looked up taking it off. "It's me Owen. Oooohhh I'm here before you guys met me aren't I... oops. Heh that's the tricky thing about time travel I guess. Oh god that's why you already knew me when I meet you guys. Okay hah that makes more sense. Sorry rambling. I'm Parker, Parker Atkins. Oh wow Jodie I haven't seen you since that thing... wait what day is it so I don't give any spoilers," the odd girl asked. No one spoke up and we still looked at her suspiciously. "Okay Jodie seems disoriented so Aiden just left I take it. You three are suspicious so you already spent the month trying to keep Torchwood together, Ianto looks hopeful so you still don't know why Jack left or when he'll be back," Parker stated. "How do you know all this," Gwen asked. "My brain synced with the TARDIS mainframe briefly, extremely dangerous for humans, luckily I'm half timelord. Odd mix I know," she explained still rambling.

"Enough of this why are you here," I asked. "Well I meant to travel to here a few years later to get all of you when you knew me because of stuff happening in the future and I would need your trust and you obviously don't trust me yet because you don't know me," she said with a shrug. "Where's Jack and why did he give that to you," Ianto asked. Parker looked serious now and wrote a mark on her wrist with sharpie. "Remember the silence," she said, "look at your wrists." I looked down and saw tallies covering them. "What the hell," I asked standing up. "We need to get out of here now they found us they have Jack. I need your help to get him back," she said. I looked at the others. Whoever or whatever they are, they have Jack. He's our team member we need to bring him back. "We're in," we all said grabbing our bags we kept under our desks and followed this odd girl.

I felt like you guys deserved a better ending so, here you go. I'm working on a second one to this fanfic when I upload it I'll post another part to this telling you guys the title. Sorry this all took so long I'm working on like 4 fanfics and two novels all at the sane time, but it's summer now so I should theoretically have more time.
