Wei Ying's POV
It has been hushed lately nothing has happened Honestly, I am wondering what is going on because it is not usually this peaceful, but it is better than nothing, Lan Zhan and Wei Ying are in their room studying for exams that they have in a week, but overall nothing has been happening has been quiet to quiet honestly.
"Wei Ying?" Lan Zhan says he approaches him.
"Lan Zhan, what is the matter?"
"Nothing is just has been too quiet lately I can't understand why," Lan Zhan says a bit worriedly.
I have to admit it is a bit worrying how quiet it is, but hey, it's better than anything going on right?
"I admit the quiet is throwing me off, but is okay, I think we should finish studying for the exams instead of focusing on the quiet"
"You are right," Lan Zhan says still worried.
I never thought Lan Zhan would say that since he is a person who loves quiet. Honestly seeing how much he wishes for some noise is funny, and also pretty ironic. However, I can imagine him appreciating the quiet since Lan Zhan is more quiet and introverted. He only talks when is obligated to, or when he talks to me. I should probably study for the exam at the end of the week, but I don't want to.
After the exam
"Oh gosh that exam was quite challenging, don't you think Lan Zhan?" Lan Ying says in a bit of a worried tone.
"Maybe you should have studied more, it was challenging I will admit that but next time try to study more It will help next time," Lan Zhan says back in a bored tone.
"Oh yea, today's is the day your brother is coming back from the Jin Clan to work on the deal with the children?"
"Mhm you are correct"
"I think he will be arriving soon, should we head to the river to greet him?"
"Sure I was going to go down to the river to greet him before you mentioned it"
"Alright, so should we ask permission to go down to the dock to greet your brother?"
"Yes, I was planning to the dock anyway"
Me and Lan Zhan peacefully walked to the dock with no talking, just calming silence. That is until Lan Zhan stopped in front of a house on a mountain.
"Lan Zhan?"
Lan Zhan kind of just stood there with no response his expression didn't show it, but knowing him for so long I knew he was sad.
"Are you ok?"
"Oh yea, I am fine" Lan Zhan finally spoke but I could tell there was something wrong with him.
"You miss her don't you?" I don't really like talking about his parents a lot, nor mine, but I could tell Lan Zhan misses his mother.
"Hey come on, let's go greet your brother, am sure he is already in the dock," I say trying to change the topic.
Lan Zhan nodded and we just kept walking to the dock, I could tell he was still a bit sad about it, but I decided not to say anything, and just then I decided to hug him.
"Hey is going to be fine," I say just hugging him gently
He hugged me back, despite his face not showing any emotion if you have known him for long enough you will know what emotion he is feeling.
"Thank you, Wei Ying"
"Is no problem now come on let's hurry up"
