Holy poop guys, the story hit over 1k reads!! I don't even know what to say other than thanks to everyone who's been reading and voting and commenting! It means a ton to me when I see people are actually reading my stuff and enjoying it. You guys are probably thinking "Get on with it I want to read the story" but I needed to thank you guys first. I honestly never expected to even get over a hundred reads. Anyways, as always I hope you enjoy!

I'm thinking about five or six more parts, depending on how the flow of the story goes, so it'll probably finish soon. After this I'm going to be working on the Black Cat Chronicles, a series that's going to revolve around Black Cat, an OC villain in the DC universe, so if you're interested check it out. I'll be working on some other fanfics as side jobs though, so I'll still post Supernatural fanfics and stuff. Okay, now let's really get onto the story.

Cas PoV
Back at the motel room, Cas skimmed through one of the many books containing the lore of the town that Sam and Dean had brought back from the library. As he stopped on a part about the supposed covens of the small town. Sam cleared his throat before asking, "Have you found anything?"

"Not really. So far all I know is that this town went crazy trying to find all the witches and ended up executing normal people. It's kinda like the Salem Witch Hunt," Cas told him.

"But there were actual witches in Salem. I mean, I hunted some years ago," Sam replied.

Cas raised an eyebrow before answering. "My point exactly. The actual witches covered up their tracks and survived the witch hunt, save for a few." Cas turned back to his book, skimming the list of names, "and as far as I know, only about three actual witches got killed."

"Then what happened to the other covens?" Sam asked.

"My guess is that they either left the area after the whole fiasco or never existed in the first place. I mean, with the whole cover of the other people being put on trial for witchcraft, it gave them a chance to frame people that pissed them off," Cas told him.

"Well, who were the actual witches? Maybe we can find if they have any grandkids or whatever still living in the area," Sam asked as he opened his laptop. 'That's odd,' Cas thought. 'Normally Sam already has this information pulled up on his laptop.'

"We have Rebecca Allison Jones and her daughter Carlene Felicity Jones. And then there's Joan Garnett. The thing is, not-so-little Carlene's jewelry and stuff that couldn't be burned weren't found after she was burned at the stake. Normally that stuff's left behind in the ashes, so everyone was confused," Cas said.

"So you're telling me that we might be dealing with a centuries old witch?" Sam asked. Cas just shrugged. "I think this counts as finding something," Sam said as he pulled out his phone.

"She was 16 at the time she was supposedly burned at the stake if that helps at all," Cas added. Sam nodded before dialing Dean's number.

"Dean! We found something. We're not sure, but we think we might know which coven it is. You guys are going to have to be careful. No, not yet," Sam said as he turned to his laptop. He quickly typed in something as he listened to Dean talk. "Okay, I got it. Yeah, Noah Smith's ancestor apparently was one of the judges at the trials. Maybe he sent those witches to the stake and the coven is still pissed?"

"What's going on?" Cas asked, slightly confused. Sam put up a finger to signal that he would talk to Cas when he was done.

"Yeah. Wait, receptionist? Okay, so she got fired, Noah and his family starts getting killed off. But it's only his blood relatives that are getting killed. Wait, does he have any kids?" Sam asked before clicking a few things on his laptop. "Son of a bitch. One son, a teenager. She's gonna be going after him next."

"Ask Cas if he was able to sense any hex bags placed around the house. Normally those kind of things stick out to us," Cas told Sam.

"Dean, did Cas notice anything off about the house? Like any hex bags anywhere?" Sam listened to the response before shaking his head no at Cas.

"Alright then, be careful. Don't start anything with the girl if you can help it, and keep an eye out for any freaky shit in her house," Sam said. Turning to Cas, Sam told him, "Here's what we've got, witch hunt in the late 1600s, woman and her daughter were sent to burn at the stake. Woman burned, but her daughter didn't. The daughter then used a spell to make sure that she could keep living, and hunted down the descendents of the person who sent her and her mom to the stake. But why now? She could've made her move ages ago."

"I honestly can't tell you, Sammy. What we do know about this is that we need to stop this crazy witch. What can you tell me about the witches you hunted in Salem?"

"They were trying to summon the Princes of Hell again. They'd tried once before during the Salem Witch Hunt, but couldn't finish it because some of my ancestors stopped them. But they used hex bags. I mean, it took a while to find them, but they were definitely there."

Cas sat for a while thinking before he spoke up again. "If there are warding sigils on the hex bags, then it'd be impossible for anyone to find them unless they were searching closely."

"But do you really think that a witch who's just out for revenge would think about placing angel warding sigils on her hex bags?" Sam said with a raised eyebrow.

"It's always a possibility. So, what're we going to do? We have no idea when she's going to try to kill the kid, or where she's even putting these hex bags," Cas said.

"Probably do a stakeout, have a couple of us by the Smith's house and the others by the witch's place to keep an eye on them both. I mean, the deaths have happened around a week apart from each other, so if the pattern sticks, he's gonna die within the next few days. Cas and Dean are gonna go question her, so we'll see what happens." Cas nodded as Sam finished, and turned back to the book he was reading. It took a powerful witch to perform spells without hex bags, maybe even a Supreme. 'She's not a Supreme, she most likely hasn't had contact with other witches in centuries. Unless she teamed up with a different coven, because it seems that the coven she was accused of being a part of was lacking in witches, the only other witch being her mother.'

"Sam, what's the receptionist's name?" Cas asked.

"Carla Jones," Sam said. "I mean, Carla is close enough to Carlene, so it's most likely she changed her name to fit with the modern times."

Cas nodded in agreement. "We need to stop her before she kills anyone else," he told Sam with a grim face.

"Yeah, Gabriel, we do," Sam responded.
