THE ELEVATOR DOORS opened with a ding, the silence that had enveloped the elevator flooded out. noa shrunk at the sight of three men staring back at them, two held hand guns while the third stood awkwardly beside them.
he lightly rocked on his heels, looking between the two men beside him to the six that resided within the elevator doors.
anna raised the shot gun she held, while andre raised the hand gun he held, both aiming them at the two that held weapons. noa silently stood beside kenneth. her stomach twisting in knots, anxiety pooled within her body. the two men that held guns pointed them between the group, moving the barrel to point at anyone that moved.
"find someplace else" the man in the middle spoke his gun aimed at andre. noa glanced to the man furthest from her before to the guy on the right side of the center guy. "look we just need-" micheal started his words dying off as a gun was pointed in his face.
"maybe you didn't hear me" he spoke glaring at micheal who stared blankly at the man, he huffed. "there is no place else." micheal told, trying to defuse the situation; he spoke in a calm soft tone. not wanting anyone to get scared and pull the trigger. "well that's tough shit." the man told, shrugging lightly. he looked between them once again, "because you can't stay here." he added.
noa pursed her lips at the man, stiffening when the barrel was pointed at her before moved once more. "yeah. you already trashed metropolis." the man on his left told, shifting on his feet. gun still held tightly in his hands, noa huffed. finding it crazy they cared more about the downstairs level of the mall then the six in front of them who needed help.
andre sighed, annoyed with the situation. "look my wife's pregnant. she can't run anymore, dumbass." andre told, using his head to nod to luda who stood anxiously beside him. hands resting firmly on her round stomach. slightly hidden behind andre who was using his body to shield her from the guns that were being pointed at them.
the man that stood dead center between the other two shrugged, clicking his tongue. adjusting his grip on his weapon. "tough shit. not my problem." he responded harshly, noas eyes filled with distaste for the man standing in front of her. wondering how someone could care so little of people who needed help, let alone a pregnant women. "those things are down there." michael told, attempting to get the man to understand where they were coming from.
which proved useless because he only shrugged. "these are all your problems. not mine." he responded, his tone harsh. gun moving between the six who shifted in their legs. noa wished to shrink and disappear, not liking the feeling of the gun on her.
kenneth huffed, annoyed with the man's attitude. "if i shove my foot up your ass, then will it be your problem?" he questioned, grunting in pain. his arm was hot to touch, blood still seeping from the large gash. noa lightly shook her head at him. "hey asshole, i'm the one pointing a gun at you." he told, gun pointing at kenneth. a sharp glare in his eyes, and venom lacing his words.
